I tried to look at Ed’s latest tweet on Twitter but noticed you have to follow him to see his tweets. Sums up today’s histrionics really.

So today summed up this season really; lots to be positive about, slick midfield play, promising youths, good backing but ultimately lacking up top and end up coming up short… and leaving with an uneasy feeling about our future, still.
on a personal positive, my first visit to pride park again for a few years (yet feels an eternity), with my 5 year old daughter in tow for her first ever game, and she actually enjoyed it. Does that constitute child cruelty, when we live near Leicester?

For the longest time I wanted Roos to have his chance, ever since seeing him in that epic cup game at Fulham. He’s struggled for consistency though and for every few great saves you always feel there’s a poorly dealt with cross not far away that shoots us in the foot.
Allsop I presumed had come in to make up the numbers and I didn’t really get it with the few squad spaces we had available. Especially seeing as his first few appearances he looked shaky as anything. Since then though I’ve been won around and especially crosses into the box, I’ve not felt as relaxed with our keeper in a very very long time. For all the pressure we’ve soaked up at times this season I think he’s done exceptionally, and in the grand scheme of things I’d guess his stats for goals being his fault versus his league peers is low.
Long story short; didn’t know why we signed him, but fully behind him now.

I remember a game in 2004 against Crewe at PP, finished 0-0 , absolute one way traffic , Derby bombarded their goal but their keeper had a worldie , Clayton Ince was his name
This one always stands out for me too. No idea how we didn't score that day.

Despite this seasons heroics so far, I’d still take instant relegation if it means having a club, a faint hope of having bezzie mate Rooney stay on and actually retain some of the players and kids, aaand have a fair crack at league one. No pb before end of the season and the foundation of the club cracks; academy falls apart and we’re at least 2 years down there if we’re lucky.

I presume it all played out like this:
gibbo - Mel you cheating swine, I want £7million.
Mel - you can have 500k to stroke your ego and go away, otherwise the riverside will get trashed tomorrow and you know it.
gibbo - good point, I wouldn’t want to tarnish this beauty spot. Deal.

Do red-haired people identify as a race? It is a genetic trait like baldness or short-sightedness.
We do. And have a fortnightly meeting on a Tuesday evening on zoom to discuss our conquering of the world, largely through our planted spokespeople; Ed sheeran, Prince Harry and that one off Harry Potter.

Bristol being the "English Hollywood" is probably up there with Torquay being part of the "English Riviera" lol. Audacious.
Good info though apart from the hyperbole.

Allsop - 8. Really impressed with a flawless return.
Byrne - 7.5. Strong outlet
Forsyth - 8.5. Rolled back the years at both ends. MOM
Stearman - 7.5. started a bit shaky then improved
Davies - 7. Decent but nearly costs us
Shinnie - 8. Everywhere
Bird - 6.5. Some half hearted challenges and not as influential
Morrison - 7.5. Should have given stretton a chance when rounding the keeper, but makes things tick
Knight - 8. Didn’t realised how much we’d missed his drive and work in the opposition’s half
Lawrence - 6.5. Involved in good play but shooting on site on every positive break is infuriating.
Baldock - 6. Did ok.
Stretton - 6.5. Had a bit more impact and held the ball up well. After a great run needs to finish better.

Had a couple of dodgy stray passes in the first half but then was immense afterwards. We’d already be a league one team without him last season. Two things you always get with him: 110%, and a booking lol.

Maybe I’m weird but I preferred being everyone’s 2nd team when we played an irresistible brand of football under mcclaren. I was proud of the club at that stage. I don’t want to be Leeds. On any level.
fair play to everyone involved to ensure this team at the moment is giving it everything and actually managing to play some decent football. It’d be easy to throw in the towel and add to the huge cumulative embarrassment of the last few years. I don’t ‘get’ the sharp chant though and do cringe at the reports of it. Trying to cast away any of the last of the good will of the football community. I think his comments and reaction at the end shows how this goes beyond the line compared to the usual sledging.
I'm just ready for a ‘normal’ season again though. Sometime. Please.

Geesh in that bbc article our old friend Mr Rush is mentioned....
"Two of the six potential buyers are "substantial entities" who were previously in touch with Morris, who had been looking to sell the club since 2019, with four new interested parties.
The six are understood to include former Derby County owner Andy Appleby and chief executive Sam Rush, who are both part of the 366 Group"
I just noticed this little mention and was gonna post too. Didn’t listen to everything today so didn’t know if I’d missed something, searched the forum and came up with nowt too.
So Sam Rush was oft painted as the villain of the piece. With Mel’s mask well and truly slipping and the fact they settled with Sam out of court, does that mean he wasn’t actually the problem?
After the events of 3 amigos, ‘the Americans’ were treated with a lot of scepticism throughout but did a good job all in all and Appleby always came across well. Wouldn’t mind him back involved at all.

My take was it tactical with the fact forest we’re starting to have some joy with pace down their left. Definitely Joz’s best form for the club at the mo. I think our current approach suits him much better than lumping it randomly (unsurprisingly). Hope it continues as he’s had a bit of a baptism of fire to english football, but comes across as a nice guy, with talent that just needs unlocking.

Isn’t it mental that when we actually try and play football, the likes of jozwiak and bird actually look like footballers. Good footballers. Thought I was gonna regret paying a tenner to watch but a good solid performance that and the best attacking display in a long time. Could have made it easier for ourselves with those great chances. I agree that shinnie looks a bit lost in this formation a bit but he came good last 10 mins when it was more his cup of tea. And as someone said, swap Bielik for him and suddenly that looks pretty tasty. Bird MoM for me. Did everything going forward and backwards very well.

I can forgive the Rooney PR inclusion but I can’t forgive the fact they couldn’t make them all the same black and white tone. Amateurs.

Isn’t this the fundamental of modern football?
I can’t see the business plan allowing for too much audacious spending, even on wages. The pot we’ve got, if we went big on a couple of players I doubt there’d be enough to even fill the rest of the squad.
im sceptical those signings would happen and if they do you’d hope it’s because the project appeals of a bit of a sleeping giant and a strong chance of first team football.
