Has anyone actually tried turning the club off leaving if for 10 seconds and then turn it back on again?
Made laugh out loud

Cani imagine the euphoria when a bit of actual good or positive news comes out ???!

Angie I’m certainly not criticising Mr Morris for having good intentions but I ran my own business for many years and what I did was make sure my taxes were paid because if you get on the wrong side of HMRC you are in trouble
He knows as a businessman himself that if you can’t afford to pay the HMRC then something is quite wrong in how the whole operation is being run
you can only stick your head in the sand for so long ...if he sold some players and said it was a necessity to balance the books we might not like it but that’s how you have to operate
As I said when Nigel Clough was here we ran a tight ship but still managed to bring in good players using shrewdness in the market and not overspending and yet still produced one of the best sides I’ve seen in years albeit with Macs tactical and coaching influence using Cloughs recruits
it wasn’t broken at that stage and just needed a bit of help eg Thorne on. A permanent which he helped achieve but to be honest from then on we have obviously spiralled out of control spending too much and who,s fault is that?
The model was good before Mel took over but we lost our way especially in the recruitment areas spending obviously beyond our means because now we can’t even pay our taxes!
Agree totally re clough etc
always made laugh during and after their time the amount of stick Simon clough got … “he’s only there cos he’s Nigels brother” turns out he knew what a good player looked like without it costing us the world

A difficult... and emotive... subject.
Whilst I'd agree we play a massive part in the club's survival, we need the club as much as the club needs us. Neither can survive without the other.
Without Derby County Football Club, Derby fans are just... well... fans!... But the same can be said for Sainsburys! We don't demand the ins and outs of boardroom meetings, as we are no more than mere customers. Paying guests maybe, but that lies under the same umbrella.
Stakeholders even, technically speaking... but that still doesn't elevate us to needing to be ITK at boardroom level.
I hear what your saying

Have to admit, I see it differently.
DCFC is being run on a need to know basis. If you don't know the answers to those questions, there's a reason for that.
Yeah, deep down I guess "it would be nice to know", but personally, I ain't losing any sleep, and most certainly not planning on protesting.
I'm a fan. I'm a supporter. I'm a ST Holder. I'm a customer. No more than that, and whilst I admit I'm curious, I don't expect to be included in the Need-To-Know-Gang!?
I disagree a little
a football club is nothing without fans
we are way more than just customers
We’re the lifeblood of this club

I can't argue with the validity of any of your questions @NottsRam77 but for me, I don't think protesting is the way to go this early.
If you feel strongly about it, get involved with Rams Trust and encourage them to get the fans to "show their strength" in whatever way is deemed appropriate.
For now, I think the number of fans turning out at these pointless friendlies is a show of our strength as a potential asset to a future owner and hopefully a support to our bedraggled squad of players.
Early ? How long have we been in this mess ?
when was our last embargoless transfer window ?
-
Do we protest to demand answers?
betis game ?
I for one am absolutely sh@t scared as to how this is shaping up.
I wish nothing but good health to Mel, and truly hope he’s ok as has been well documented about his health issues .. I really do .. this is all so sad.
this is not a Mel out post but we need the club to shed some light
the season starts in 2 weeks … abd we’re an utter mess
Where are the accounts ?
have they been delayed because we fail ffp horribly
is there a takeover ?
if there isn’t what happens next?
wtf is happening with the efl ? Are we clutching at straws ?
can we / will we sign anyone before a competitive ball is kicked ?
the ramstrust have deemed it concerning enough to send another letter to the club and I’m starting to think maybe it’s time for a show of strength
this club is about us … the fans.. we make it.. we are it
in the ups and downs of the Derby country rollercoaster this is up there with the best of them for me .. sure there’s been worse but Christ it isn’t half worrying

Pre-Season is about fitness and as a team and as an individual putting in consistent and improving performances leading up to the start of the season. Losing games doesn’t matter now but losing in a way which is bitter to swallow is worrying.
Man U I could accept, we played well for 65 mins and there quality won them the game. However, today seems like another huff and puff Derby County performance. I’d sign anyone who can last 90 mins and add some spark to this side.
id sell Bird right now if we need room for others and a bit of cash in the bank.
Rooney has to learn and quickly. 1 win in 15 didn’t keep us up, Rotherham being so crap did. He needs to show in the first 6 games that he is capable of taking this side forward long term.
All comes down to off the pitch though. I know some still adore Mel but I for one am sick of him. Mistake after mistake, issue after issue and look where we are. As a club and as a fan base we’re so stretched thin. It’s been a hard 18 months but being a Derby fan during that time has aged me badly. Hopefully some players come in, the takeover is sorted and we can all sing as one in a packed out PP for the opener v Hfield.
Couldn’t agree more

Because Cocu didn't like to play that way.
Some of the players played with a lot of intensity under Lampard though so they are capable.
I literally deleted exactly that
don’t get me wrong lampards side had its faults and his terrible permanent signings have helped get us into the mess we’re in but his played at times with fantastic transition and intensity

Can we calm down a little? This is an early preseason game where we need to both try out trialists as we can only sign four and attempt to change our woeful playing style from last season. Rooney said after ManU that this game was going to be how we deal with more possession with a different style from the season before. Bird said in an interview it's a change up. Can someone who watched the game give me some idea of what this lookes like today without just shouting we lost 2-1 to a league two side?
We looked a largely carbon copy of last seasons side
Decent tidy Possession in comfortable Areas of the pitch where the opposition allowed us to have or didn’t press so intensely.
tried to do the right things higher up but ultimately had no one with the ability to make a difference in tight areas or where it mattered
then concede two very avoidable goals albeit one was a cracking header but the build up to it was typically clsssic soft Derby
with little over two weeks away and zero clarity on anything off the pitch I am v concerned with how this season is shaping up
Am hoping .. praying things get sorted imminently

The common denominator of course is the management..you can change the players but if the new ones are still being coached in the same fashion as before, what do we expect?
We wernt much cop for the entirety of last season bar bieliks all too brief return … u could even run in back to large chunks of the season before tbh
we’ve lacked tempo and intensity from before Rooney

The three amigos maliciously messed the club up, Mel and Pearce have blundered in to it whilst trying to push us on.
The end result isn't much different, so I don't see why Mel should get a free pass to be honest.
Agree
Whatever mels intentions and I do genuinely believe they were always for the best for the club he too loves like us this is turning into a rooster up of epic proportions
I hope health wise he’s ok on all fronts I’m sure this isn’t how he envisaged any of this turning out

Whenever you think we've hit rock bottom we manage to sink further. I really wish I wasn't addicted to Derby County and could just let it go but I can't
Ditto
living in notts I’ll never get away from it

but no … I’m stuck with it lol

If we sell Buchanan to Forest for peanuts to help pay the bills and we are stuck with Forsyth as first choice for another season I will be seriously depressed.

“Release” a few accademy players who just so happen to rock up at Tamworth .. get themselves a season of game time and to see if they earn their stripes for a certain parent… I mean random championship clubt o resign them when the dust settles ?? No too far fetched ?

I know he's covered there before but I'd dispute the statement "Forsyth 'can' play centre back" ?.
Struggles in his actual position these days.
Totally correct sadly

Does that mean many of our accademy players don’t count as professional ?
