The latter, while u can view it on their site they are holding it for u and so they hold the keys not u. for ref which i dont mind sharing the majority of mine is sat in cold storage on my ledger. then i have some on nexo and some on revolute. i like the fact that nexo pay interest on your balance in bitcoin… but im aware of the not my keys not my btc not loads .. but those two will be the two i shift first if prices start to get “difference making” in terms of my life. the cold storage stuff might not move this cycle .. just depends

Ledger is cold wallet storage. So your btc lives in this on not in the digital world. Its considered the safest method of storing it but theres nothing wrong with digital storage / wallets. just dont leave ur btc on an exachange for too long, just incase, not ur keys not ur bitcoin. my own journey, in terms of buying and putting onto a digital wallet .. not very long im semi tech savy, ie im was a typical 90’s teenager, loved gaming and grew up messing around on pcs so i know the basics … but even without that background buying from a site and then copy and pasting my digital wallet address that i have downloaded really was no harder than trying to install sid miers civilisation lol in terms of learning about bitcoin itself… thats taken 2-3 years but im so glad i invested that time

U have to buy it from somewhere unless ur doing peer to peer i buy off nexo and revolute and just transfer it to my ledger its not hard copy and paste ur wallet address and press a button

U buy them and theyre held on the nexo platform or revolute one revolute is a bank… so depends how much u trust a bank. But if u want total control and security then yes u have to put it on a ledger .. not a big deal , its basically a secure usb stick

Couldnt be easier Download nexo or revolute app off the app store apple pay £100 of btc .. literally couldnt be easier 🤷

Price wise …. Who knows as u say i think it will be different too but we will see. Re mining wise and no More coins theres circa 120 years to get through before that happens. Bitcoin has come a stupidly long way in 15/16 years from geeky internet magic money to a traded global asset that’ll soon be appearing in every pension fund on the planet. a lot can happen in 120 years lol 😊🙌

Im saying all this in good faith, not trying to be argumentative or arrogant which is hard to convey in text lol just i find the whole concept and subject about the macro factors that are affecting our money fascinating and a little worrying i just think that bitcoin is the answer to protecting my savings over a prolonged period of time. This doesnt mean im not open to others like property, gold stocks and shares .. and diversity is the key obviously and always open to hear others ideas i just like to try and share what i do and dont know about bitcoin as to many its a totally foreign thing… but i genuinely believe its going to he something we will all want to own down the line but thats just me 🙏👍

😂i know where ur coming from it is a weird concept lol So I bought 3, 6 and 12 months ago all in profit even post potential ww3 dump the profit or potential profit depends on your time frames For the record i didnt buy the above 3,6 and 12 months expecting a profit in those time frames … that isnt investing thats gambling / hoping interestingly though, as i mentioned previously just by holding say the 400 quid i put in the other week when i got my eon rebate for my winter overpayments purely by the fact that in a week the pound has gone down to 1.24 from 1.27 against the dollar iv protected the buying power of that 400 quid when measured in the currency i need to survive

I think we will see a player or two that can do a bit i think JJ was a budget example of what he wants. hes already said many a time, speed kills .. and it does. Im expecting us to be quick and stronger still. and as u say.. hopefully with a little control in there too.. i mean a better version of a mr CH would be nice lol
