  1. Wow thread bare springs to mind

    this is half the issue

nevermind lack of ability, tactics, game plan and execution

when u look who’s here next season who isn’t or probably won’t be ... do they really care .. I mean really care

    They don’t need to

Understand why you say this and I think most agree but, if you watched them today they have all the same problems we do. They were seriously lucky not to lose. That’s the only difference between the two teams at the moment. Luck. We seem to be being punished for every error we make.

All likelihood is we will only need a draw next week so we absolutely have a chance. It is nowhere near done, despite how it feels right now or whether you have any belief in this squad and staff they are capable of getting another point.

Mate I hear what your saying but I think it’s more than just bad luck

look at the goals we conceded against brum... look at the first goal today

Look at the first goal against Blackburn .. that ain’t luck .. that’s a recurring theme

when balls go into our box we’re left wanting ... that’s why we are where we are

I can tell u now next week unless we do a Preston and roll over we will play ok, have a fair share of the ball ... we may even score but u know the moment the ball starts going into out box it’s a flip of a coin as to whever it ends up in our net or not

You don’t take a player off if he’s playing well, despite all previous games.

That scouse meatball head doesn’t even know that much.

I think it’s horses for courses to be quite honest

we have negligible attacking threat or ability within the Squad

mid have kept him on personally as like u say he was playing well

we can’t defend balls into the box that’s the Problem

If we could we’d have at least 2 points more for just the last two games

Not me if the so called coaching team are still with us

They’re not good , dealt a tough hand with the embargo but have still failed us IMO

  5. Well here we are

in my eyes we are down

just been to the pub with a notts county mate who’s equally brassed off with football to drown our sorrows

As I think many expected but hoped for better myself Included thought Rooney was the appointment with more seasoned hands being the ord

Jozwiak may have been scrutinised this season for his performances but I don’t think anyone has faltered him for lack of effort, which is more than we can say for Lawrence and Waghorn. Always puts in 100% and today he was really good.

His effort is isn’t In question is quality like most of our attacking players is

that said today ... I thought offensively we were ok .... ish .. defensively yet again we were absolutely shambolic

that first goal today was truly playground stuff a free header to cut it back again i our 6 yard box

    were shocking

Wednesday will beat us , I can Guarantee u now ... we will play ok like today but we will at some stage of the game allow crosses i the box ... game over

see u All In league one:(

Anyone like to dabble a bit? I have always liked the thought but it always seemed a balls ache to do. I've now found a simple app that makes this really easy.

Trading 212. I'm hooked now. Just stuck what I could afford to lose in there and it's simple as, no commission either.

    Have U tried etoro

u can invest small amounts and track /copy other people’s trades .. they take a tiny cut of why u make but it’s like an eBay style sort of thing where u can see reviews for them and pay performance... certainly not a quick fix or get rich quick scheme but an interesting way of doing something I enjoy but no little about

McClaren has a far better win rate than any of our recent managers. His season went to hell because we simply didn't have the players. We could have changed it up, but it likely wouldn't have changed the result. I'm sure they would have tried stuff in training and Mac decided it wasn't going to help. At the start of this season, people rightly said Cocu should get time to get his squad fit, yet Mac isn't afforded the same luxury, despite the fact he lost the spine of his team to injury.

    Fair comment buddy

    Partially agree, partially disagree

    but fair comments

The plan B argument ducking grates on me. No manager has a plan B. It was a stupid criticism people came up with because we couldn't win every game. It was our fanbase being ducking spoiled.

No ... but there’s not having a plan B and there’s not trying literally anything to stop the slow death that was that season ending with the spectacular capitulation to reading

he could have tried anything ...

literally anything but instead kept rolling out the same line up and style with players that cos of injuries to others didn’t suit that system and the season fell apart

Instead of trying to adapt the a system to fit what he had available

He didn't handle the injuries well but they were bad. 3 DM's and 2 Strikers and Lee Grant played with an injury

He had issues with the back 4 too. Against Brentford I thing Forsyth and Albentosa played CB. Badly.

He played 3 at the back v Chesterfield I think. Keogh at RCB was bad. He kept drifting to the middle.

But yeah, no team goes from 433 counter attacking to 541 hoofball to 4231 patient possession to 442 percentage football opponent by opponent

That was Clement's mad talk too. An adaptable team that can switch it up. In reality what you end up with is a constant chopping and changing causing players to look completely directionless and unable to form any instinctive moves.

Plan A for Mac was through Martin. Plan B was Christie/Fozzy going past wingers as Ince and Dawkins and Co cut inside.

Our variety of goals was proof. Lots of low crosses to go with the more memorable Martin/Bryson exchange.

He even found a starring role for Bradley Johnson after cleaning up from the real super man manager that is Nigel no nonsense Pearson.

I don't want him back. But he isn't clueless, we were good, fans had fun (those not crying because we only got about 150pts in his first spell). We could be 2-0 down with 30 mins left and we all believed we could win!! Not draw, but actually win.

Imagine that. 2-0 down and still full of belief. We scored 5+ on multiple occasions.

With players like Buxton, Keogh, Ward, Russell, Bryson, Dawkins, Forsyth, Wisdom, Thorne etc

If these players were so easy to guide to promotion then I would have thought it odd that Derby has been their highest level of performance. They certainly didn't underachieve wearing our badge

    Cracking post

Ok I was being a bit OTT

im Just gobsmacked that so many seem to want him back quite frankly

Plan B is always do plan A better.

Very few sides in history have multiple set ups comprising the same players.

Your right , but there has to be an acknowledgment that if something isn’t working than to try and fix it

he just kept sending us up , lined up the same way for defeat after defeat that saw us crash out of the play offs cumulating in that final day embarrassment at home to reading

    We couldn’t win any game

We went on a horrendous run which saw us firmly embedded in the play offs cumulating with a last day of the season capitulation against reading at home

every week a defeat was met by his cheesey infuriating Cheshire Cat grin and a shrug of the shoulders

it was screaming out for a tweak in set up and get more bodies higher up in the absence of chris Martin

When the chips are down he’s as clueless as they come

saying that ... cocu didn’t even have an effective plan A so hey grateful for small mercies

  12. Just reading this thread for the first time.

big congratulations mate abd obviously seeing the more recent updates hope things all go ok

one things for sure the health service seem to be pretty thorough when it comes to babies so they just like to check everything so hopefully the recent scans are just precautionary

when it comes to parenting my biggest advice is just remember your a team

I won’t lie it does test ur relationship, me and the have been together for like 17 years (I know, she’s had my best years lol)

Prior to kids I think we had like 2 cross words/ arguments in the first 12 years lol... now they’re daily lol

if life is a rollercoaster then kids just make those lows a little bit lower but the highs are infinitely higher

u just have to remember tiredness makes even the most Laid back person a bit more uptight and there’s a bigger picture here and u have to be prepared to let some things go

oh ... and you’ll deffinitly end up feeling like a packhorse fetching and carrying lol

    me and my mate joke,

the words “can u just” will be etched on my brain and gravestone forever lol

but joking aside it’s ace .... and hard work at the same time lol
