Dire yet again.
Get Warne gone and bring someone in to look at getting us promoted next year, playing actual football in the process.

Hilariously depressing to hear Washington is potentially out until the end of the season with a knee issue. An issue he’d had operated on in the summer, and we still chose to sign him knowing our budgets were limited.
Who in their right mind would sign a 31 year old striker who has just had a knee op. I’m not sure what’s more amateur, Warnes tactics or his transfer decisions.

Hard to argue with you . On the way home Warne said “We haven’t played well all season “. Two teams tonight letting the goalies - hoof the ball back and forth . But forget worrying about Bolton , because Barnsley have the momentum.

Barnsley haven’t won a game by more than the odd goal this year, which in this league is probably a sign they’re too lacking quality to put teams away. Portsmouth took huge strides adding decent players like Moxon and Lang to their team in January, otherwise they were also faltering at times.

That was utter garbage yet again. It’s totally unwatchable at the moment and it stems from the ludicrous tactics, presuming we have any.

The price of mine and the lad’s season tickets has gone up by 40% and with nights like this, following many more like them, you do begin to wonder if it’s worthwhile.

If Mendez-Laing doesn’t create anything then that’s pretty much that isn’t it. I thought Cashin and Nyambe came out with credit tonight but the rest were ‘meh’ at best and a few were pretty disgraceful. The amount of 50/50 challenges bottled was quite noticeable.

This team is neither good enough for the top two, nor does it have the bottle for the fight of the play offs. I hope I’m wrong, I really do. The manager has come out and said we haven’t played well all season. I agree with him so who is to blame for that then?

What a disappointing week and with Port Vale, who we will no doubt be told are an excellent team with great players for this league, to come it could get even worse if we approach the game with this ridiculous negative and defensive mindset from the start.

Because he'll gas out every game.  I assume he meant anaesthesia in the treatment room.

As mentioned before can see next season L1 being  a much tougher division to get out of L1 specialists Rotherham and teams like Charlton under Jones will be up there

let’s get this right no matter what your opinion of Warne is …this division is really poor this season I don’t even think Pompey are that good so this season is a big missed oppurtunity if we don’t go up ….we are no better than any of the sides in the top 6!!!!! And I think with a bit more emphasis on control in games we should be

Wildsmith was very rash tonight and substitutions were poor and couldn’t understand moving Cashin to LB ….bizarre

I think its to be expected tonight after that really. I never thought I'd say it but boy are we missing Collins all over the pitch. There were some nice touches from Gayle though

What was created that Collins could have taken advantage of? Yes we might have missed him but we'd have done no better.

You are right its not Warne's fault for example that none of our players seemed to get the ball to another Derby player from a throw in. Or pick out a white shirt or make a correct decision

Blinkered view. So nothing to do with Warnes coaching or the style of play he demands. We lost the passing game when Rosenior was ditched and it has to be said that some of Warne's incoming players struggle to pass effectively

There’s absolutely some fault attributed to Warne, some of the questions would undoubtedly be what are they working on in training? Where’s the tactical nous/sense? Also what are the coaching staff doing to work with the belief/mentality that seems lacking in the side?

But there also clear fault with the players, not finding passes, overplaying, rash defending etc.

Still plenty of games to play and points to get after, hopefully the staff and players can work it out enough to stumble to promotion.

I can’t remember him saying that as I was still trying to recover from what I’d just witnessed, but I do remember him saying that the first 20 minutes today was the best we’ve played this season…which sums up how bad the football has been this season.

Wow!

If the squad of players is that good then they should be able play better than that.

I'm not defending PW, he has to take a  very large chunk of the blame for our form all season but, once again, the players have to take their share of the blame. Only Cashin can really hold his head high tonight.

Agreed mate but still think the bulk of the blame has to go on Warne with the tactics and formation etc but see your point 👍🏻

I see a drop in season tickets next season if we stay down. I love that we are second but down to players and a poor league but not once have I been to a home game and enjoyed the game.

I vaugely enjoyed Barnsley at home but apart from that it's mostly dreck. You'd have to be in Cowes Cuckoo Land to think that people will pay an extra £60 to watch the same Warneball excrement next year.

Yes he did say that but for further context he carried on by saying 'I've always said there is another gear we can get to'

The most irritating bit from the interview was a facetious comment in the lines of 'we needed their keeper to take out one of our forwards'

He was asked about moving up to 5th gear around Xmas time on Rams TV, His words were...maybe we're at 5th gear now 🤷‍♂️

He really doesn't know about gear shifts and probably has an automatic 🙄 unless he's thinking we're stuck in 3rd gear 😉

We should be looking for a young coach that can help develop our younger players with a good style of football as Warne is not the long term answer.

Frustratingly we had him here at the start of last season. Unfortunately we let him go. Can’t see Hull releasing him now.

Defending Warne by saying we are second in the league is madness - this league is so poor and won’t be this poor next season - if you add the points he has thrown away by his negative and shockingly limited tactics we would be top and 10 points clear.

Not the performance I wanted on the day I receive an email asking me to part with £537 to renew my season ticket…

Because this years L1 division is populated with utter dross bar Pompey and Bolton.

The standard of football and officiating is truly appalling, though not to wholly blame the referee for our ineptitude once again this evening. It’s terrible that our focus has become catching teams on the break and set pieces - not withstanding Cash’s excellent finish tonight, we were otherwise clueless!
