Leeds Ram
On 20/09/2023 at 07:56, England Ram said: They have tried to rip out most of the atmosphere in the East stand near the away fans so you will rarely get anything from that area close to what it was before. This has a few affects on overall atmosphere as in one less area of real noise and also one less area that the South stand can bounce off and ‘compete’ with in a very small but friendly way. Would be interesting to hear the clubs perspective and desire moving forward. Are they happy that they have received fewer letters of complaint about people standing in the East stand areas? I’m sure they are. They are continuing to not sell tickets so must be happy with the status quo. and if they are they can’t moan about the overall change in noise levels from that area. I think the club made quite a sizeable error by ripping up the east stand blocks right next to the away fans. Yeah, at one point it seemed like every game there was a bit of trouble going on, which I believe is why they've essentially killed those blocks, but if they had a few more stewards and/or police it'd be fine. It acted as a good spillover area for the south stand and helped enliven the atmosphere. lrm14, HorsforthRam and uttoxram75 1

Maybe they could introduce safe standing to a block all the way down the east stand from top to bottom next to the away fans? 🤷🏽♂️ No thanks, i sit in the north east corner and to old to stand for 3 hrs. Had my seat since pride park opened and would not like to have to move.
Simmo’s left foot
At the last match the tannoy in the north stand was so loud people were having to shout to each other, and it hurt the ears!. It completely kills any pre match atmosphere. On top of that the music was completely dire. Better off without it! SBW needs re recording with a decent beat, and get rid of the poem. Socialist claptrap, not needed at a football match. Decent music that pleases all, much lower volume and and a new better version of SBW, with a beat that actually matches the song. This would go a long way to improving the pre match experience I think. Dordogne-Ram and Kathcairns
FindernRam
Why sing during the game at all? Watched loads of TV games and you don't ever hear singing! Some chanting and in Europe they seem to have a chant leader who either has the loudest voice ever or some sort on megaphone! But please no drum! Does my head and old ears in. Agree pre-match music is far too loud to encourage people to their seats early, and build the atmosphere naturally. Been like that for many years-since the system upgrade

This would go a long way to improving the pre match experience I think. I'm half way up (row L) in the NE upper. From my seat, I'd politely describe it as ""Far too loud". However, as I strolled up the stairs just before kick off at my last game, and turned to face the seats (So the very bottom of the upper tier), I could only describe it as "Jesus Ducking H Christ, I think my ear drums have just shattered! Excuse me mate, but are my ears actually bleeding? Can you call for medical assistance? I think I'm gonna pass out"! Luckily, I managed to scramble on all fours up to my seat, but for a moment there... Edited September 21, 2023 by Mucker1884 CBRammette
Wolfie
Just beacuse the pre-match poem has had a few mentions, I'll throw my tuppence in on this and say that I really hate it. It's too long & cringey but most of all - entirely centered around the city of Derby. We're Derby County. I'm a Derby County fan and proud to say I'm from Derbyshire but having grown up in the middle of the Peak District, have no affinity with Derby as a city - except as being the location of the football club. The poem should reflect the county, not just the city. Dordogne-Ram and jimtastic56

I don't think you would describe the towns of Buxton, Glossop or Chesterfield as DCFC heartlands!! I appreciate you may not like the poem (I love it) but you can't separate the club and the city. I'm not certain that @Wolfie has suggested that the club and the city be separated, but merely that the county... as a whole... be included. I'm a city boy through and through, but even I can see he has a fair point. 🐏 Wolfie

old tray boy
Alot of these concrete theatres are devoid of acoustics its in the nature of the design .We were lucky to have memories of the BBG that wooden design ensured so much noise and echo it frightened most opposition to death.
