The Club have issued a statement regarding the possibility of criminal proceedings to any fans who encroach onto the pitch after final game .Should we gain promotion and get out of this awful League 1 after all of the ups and downs over the last few years l would have thought a simple gesture of letting the long suffering supporters celebrate and applaud the players is perfectly acceptable .Pompey fans assembled on the pitch last week after promotion was gained and created a fantastic spectacle. Why are Rams fans denied the opportunity after all it was common practice even in the great Clough era.The Club cites H&S worries and seems to forget that we are adults and do not need wrapping in cotton wool thank you very much.As a Club we have had little to celebrate in recent years ,Powers that be chill and let the supporters celebrate and thank the players in the time honoured way.
It's been a long time since we had such a mix of attacking players it really is exciting to watch.I know our defensive record is OK but l still feel we are a bit suspect when being pressed.l know we shouldn't complain we have come such a long way as the Club is gaining back the respect all the past shenanigans lost.
The acoustics are and always have been atrocious. The stadium is built in such a way that it soaks up sound possibly a concrete issue.Trouble is we were weaned on the BBG with its sound emmiting timber structure.
So it is now common knowledge that golum was in fact interviewed as a replacement for RH at Palace .So seems he wasn't as loyal as the florest fans would have you believe.
Almost most memorable Cup tie.
Rams v Man Utd 3rd round with Best, Charlton etc ,year around 1965 or 66 can't remember.l had queued out alnight to get a Boys end ticket all of 1 shilling and 6 pence.l gave it pride of place next to clock on mantlepiece come the day l was suffering a very heavy cold so had felt rough for a few days.Rolled out of bed and got ready for game and horror my ticket had gone ,Mam wheres my ticket for the match ? Mams reply l sold it as you are poorly and l didn't think you would be going !!!!
It was the first time the Rams had appeared on MOTD in front of a 33000 ish crowd ,oh and we got beat.
