He says his best attribute is "carrying the ball forward". I cannot wait for someone in our midfield who can do that. Welcome to Derby.

Knowing our luck he will pick it up and start running with it.

It's what Sibley specialises in and what Bird has improved on and did a lot of this season.

Sibley plays in a different area of midfield, and although I like the lad, hasn't consistently been able to do this for the senior team.

Bird was improving, but he's out for a good chunk of the season and has been a part of the team that hasn't started the season as well as we'd hoped for.

I hope Tyrese comes in and allows both of the players you mention to improve as part of a cohesive team effort. COYR

Welcome to the Rams lad and congratulations at coming over from the dark side 😉.

We need to give him time to settle and shouldn't expect too much too soon. Although patience hardly seems to be a virtue in football, especially amongst some Derby fans.

Thought I just heard a faint “Booo” from somewhere just then. Someone practicing perhaps..😎

Judging by the way some have ruled out some players already after 2 or 3 games its really getting pretty ridiculous how long players get to settle in before the knives are out.

I like the sound of him. He's sound like he's got his 'head screwed on' footballing wise and personally. #COYR

Interestingly at 23 he still considers himself a young footballer - still plenty of time for our youngsters then! 😉

So did Bradley...

Have to say though, that as soon as he said family and that included his dog I was on board.

Hopefully someone we can actually have around for a few years. Part of an evolution when/if Smith, Hourihane and so on move on in summer when their deals expire. Probably one of the few long term Warne signings who actually will be part of the team he eventually hopes for.

Wonder if Fornah was initially lined up for if Bird moved on, hence why its been in the pipeline so long.

Can we not offer longer than 2 year deals? At his age, a 3 or 4 yeal deal would have been more ideal.

If he does well this season then next summer he is going into his last year of a deal & could be a Knight/Bird/Cashin situation all over again.

Don't want 4 year deals, that's how you get in a mess.

2 years with potentially a year's option makes perfect sense.
