If Wycombe win their game in hand on Tuesday, they will only be 4 points behind us. Still a long way to go.

They will have to improve their away results and their goal difference, be very surprised if the top 6 changes, Wycombe, Peterboro and Shrewsbury all lose to many to sneak a play-off place.

Has anyone got a good guess as to when the PO dates might be?

The League One season finishes first on Sunday 7th, championship and league two finish a day later on Monday 8th.

So on that basis I’d guess that League One will kick the Play Off schedule off.

Leg 1. Fri 12th or Sat 13th

Leg 2. Mon 15th or Tue 16th

Final Sunday 28th

There's a few on here still being cautious and thinking Wycombe could get our play off place. They are 7 points behind and a massive 10 goals difference in the goal average meaning they would have to pick 8 points over us in their 11 remaining games. Six of them are away and they have already lost 7 on the road. It would take a massive uptake in their form, with us dropping lots of points for them to close the gap. What's not helped them, is Ainsworth leaving at the business end of the season. If they do grab a top 6 place, it will at Bolton's expense and not ours.

Of course it would be a surprise, but it doesn’t mean it’s not possible.

With 10-11 games to go, anything can happen.

The last thing we want to do is get complacent and think our work is done.

Fortunately we still need 5 wins and a draw to reach 80 points so you would hope the boys are still laser focused!

If any team gets overalled in the current top 6, it would be Bolton. Wycombe have the best chance being in 7th spot and 2 games in hand over Bolton.  Bolton travel to Sheff Weds on Friday night following that up with a home match against Plymouth. So it's not just about us hanging on to a top 6 spot. But if Wycombe don't win on Tuesday night, they will be running out of fixtures to close that gap which currently stands at 6 points. 7 points gap behind us, but you look at Wycombe's goal difference over the top 6, they would need to gain 7 points over Bolton and 8 over us with their +14 compared with Bolton's +21 and the Rams +24.  Games in hand are only good if you can win them. With current form Wycombe have gained 4 points over the Rams in the last 10 League games, so they would have to find momentous difference in their form.

They still have Forest Green, MK Dons, Cambridge, Cheltenham and Morecambe still to play. They could easily win all 5 of them or at least take 12-13 points from them realistically. Their fixtures are kinder than ours but I'm not suggesting I'd swap our place with them, but just expressing caution.
