Caerphilly Ram
2 minutes ago, Carl Sagan said: Chester at right back? Or is he trying to play 3-5-2? Or is it 3-4-3? In reality it will likely be a mixture of all of them at different points in the game and passages of play. But I presume the basic setup is Wildsmith Chester Davies Cashin Knight Sibley Bird Hourihane Roberts Barkhuizen McGoldrick I hope whatever it is we end up with a solid platform at the back and some attacking intent moving forward. If it’s a back 3, Knight and Roberts can help out in midfield and in attack, it does leave us potentially even more short of pace at the back but the experience of Davies and Chester should help counter that a little. Come on you rams ? Carl Sagan
Curtains
The thing with this is the midfield will hopefully be more effective Rammy03 and Caerphilly Ram 1
Rammy03
Hopefully it's Chester right back and Knight back in midfield
Anag Ram
They’re probably a bit worried about Wycombe’s aerial threat too.

Kernow
Think it’ll be 4-3-3 with Chester at right back. Bird holding for Knight and Hourihane, Sibley out wide. Since LR’s comments regarding going for RBs and missing out to Championship clubs, I’ve thought Knight being played there was a temporary stop-gap rather than a proper choice. Oduroh clearly isn’t considered to be ready just yet, and we’ve had CB injuries which haven’t given us much choice. Chester has played RB before and in his first available game it looks like he’s slotting straight in there. Hopefully a tweaked system with more round pegs sees things pick up a bit. Ramarena
I’m expecting it’ll be Wildsmith Chester Davies Cashin Roberts Knight Bird Hourihane Barks Sibley McGoldrick if not that then 3 at the back Edited September 17, 2022 by Ramarena
DCFC Kicks
I didn't know Alfie Mawson played for Wycombe. What happened to him? didn't Fulham once pay £20m for him? Chris_Martin

dabber
Geesh, we should have a formation prediction thread, Liam has us all guessing I think Wildsmith Davies Chester Cashin Knight Bird Hourihane Roberts Sibley Barkhuizen McGoldrick
brady1993
If we are staying with a 4231 and putting Chester at RB. I'm not convinced it materially solves anything and probably makes us weaker. Its a very flat back 4. Personally would set up as the following with that set of players. Wildsmith Chester Davies Cashin Barkhuizen Knight Bird Hourihane Roberts Sibley McGoldrick I worry this is a "throwing things at the wall to see what sticks line up". Hope I'm wrong. Ghost of Clough
Just now, Diego said: Job on the line selection. Dobbin picking up a knock somewhat forced this selection. If Knight started at RB, it would have meant Mendez-Laing and Barkhuizen would play the full 90. It also means we have a stronger bench to use later on in the game. What was the point in signing Oduroh? Chester at RB? Strange. Hope I’m 10000% wrong though!
