But on loan… I’m not convinced. We’d have to guarantee him a lot of football, which is a big gamble, given he’s only played 3 senior games. He’ll end up blocking the pathway for our own young players like Stretton, without really guaranteeing the huge positive impact to justify it. Generally only like loan players if they’re either in a position of desperate need, or appear to be a clear class above and capable of transforming the level of the entire team, a la Mason Mount.
