RoyMac5
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/61893883 "Just five first-team players - Krystian Bielik, Max Bird, Jason Knight, Louie Sibley and Jack Stretton - have contracts for next season, while two other players have options on existing deals with the club. And even those that are present might not be around for long. If Derby survive it will be in the form of a new company since that is the only way of avoiding paying full liability to non-football creditors. Under employment law, when the business is sold to the new company the position will be governed by legislation known as the 'Transfer of Undertakings' (Protection of Employment) (TUPE). Ordinarily under TUPE, employees at the date of the transfer automatically transfer to the new company. But they also have the right to be given information about the transfer ahead of time and a right to object to becoming an employee, which would trigger their contract being terminated at the point where the sale eventually takes place. This legislation was used by a number of Glasgow Rangers players to quit the Scottish side when they were liquidated in 2012. Whilst there remains confidence amongst the administrators that Derby will not be liquidated, which in itself would bring the players' contracts to an end, it is understood some of the remaining players are unhappy at the position they have found themselves in and are taking legal advice over their rights." Sparkle
If players don’t want to be here if and when we get taken over then fine leave but it seems dreadfully wrong that we can’t get an appropriate transfer fee worth remembering when Keogh was sacked under employment law he wouldn’t have got that much for unfair dismissal where as under a strange EFL rule he was allowed a £2 million payment so I would suggest that employment law and EFL rules do not run side by side just like accountancy rules and laws RoyMac5

Crewton
Yes, Curtis first and foremost. I'd be happy if we could retain Ravel, Stearman, Fozzy, Cashin and any out of contract academy players. Get reasonable fees for any contracted players who want away and get signing capable L1 players and promising L2/National league players.
Ghost of Clough
People keep reciting the "only 7 players line", so here's the list again... First team squad Goalkeepers: Roberts Defenders: Byrne, Buchanan, Solomon, Bardell, WGP Midfielders: Bielik, Bird, Knight, Sibley, Clarke, Ibrahim Wingers: - Forwards: Stretton, Cybulski Offers for Foulkes, Cashin, LThompson, Watson, Aghatise, CDixon (also Festy and Ebiowei for compensation reasons) Duncan excluded for obvious reasons. 2nd year Scholars Goalkeepers: Evans Defenders: Brailsford, Aideyan, Christie, Rutt, Moloney, Moore Midfielders: DRobinson, Sebagabo, Fapetu Wingers: Richards, Kelly, RND Forwards: ZDixon
Ravabeerbelly
In fairness to the “only 7 players” brigade there are only 7 maybe 8 in that list that are proven ready to play league 1 right now. That squad, as it stands, gets relegated from league 1.

You are right about the squad as it stands, but we have a month to get deals sorted, including the likes of Davies, Kazim, etc... 32 minutes ago, Jimbo Ram said: Just to clarify Ghosty…..are you saying we have more than 7 players ? BucksRam
Now that the loan is sorted for the season, which I think covers some spend for contracts, I'm keen now to hear who's offered what and, more importantly, who's signing / re-signing.
Rammy03
I hope every player has been offered a new contract, who will stay I don't know.
