Van der MoodHoover
She achieved a certain notoriety when she was at radio 1 by suggesting that at the age of 101 the Queen mum smelt a bit of wee. She also was a model in the 90s for pretty polly tights...great legs. She's also a highly intelligent woman. But not nearly as good as decent fish and chips.....? JoetheRam
Chips and gravy is fine, but gravy with fish is weird. Fish, chips and peas on the plate, then use the gravy as a dipping sauce for the chips would be my method. Curry sauce is for degenerates and the Welsh. Always was in Belper. Went to Middlesbrough once and asked for a fish and a mix. "no, don't do them" came the response. So I asked for fish chips and mushy peas.... "yep, coming right up"..... ? Parsnip
At Sea Fish in Ripley the "Sea Fish Special" is fish, chips, peas and a sausage. Which is weird. I always have it though and give the sausage to my grateful dog.
GboroRam
Can anyone explain to me why when it's a crap summer the chippies all put the price of a bag of chips up because of the "bad harvest" but they never bring it back down when the weather is better the following year? Chip shops must be a licence to print money.

Offering to 'wash the pots' is another cue for a vacant stare as is asking for a cob although that may be slightly more widespread than Derby..
