Malcolm Christie?
utterly coincidentally, his autobiography dropped through my door this morning. I forgot I'd ordered it. Was about 2 months ago I did. Holiday read sorted.

Liam Rosenior will be sensible and confident enough to want to bring in his own assistant, you would think maybe someone experienced. We lack experience in the coaching team.

That's a big accusation and an unfounded one too. Unless you were involved in the appointment process you know nothing of how the decision was made, and on what basis.
Rosenior has a chance now to show what he can do, let's hope he proves himself as a top manager and that he is a better manager than Rooney, but until he does that accusations of racism are frankly pointless and do nothing at all to further the chances of ethnic managers within the game.
no accusation made at all. I was suggesting unconscious racial bias, and I am not the first person to suggest it in the appointment of Rooney over Rosenior after there was a team of 4 put in charge when Cocu left. In fact, it hadn't entered my mind until the Black Lives Matter discussions in the Media turned to it and started discussing it as another example of lack of trust in Black Managers.

As much as I like Liam, I don't see him as a main man. He's lacking that something which is hard to put in words
White Skin? That's the only thing stopping him getting the big jobs. He was more qualified than Rooney, and more experienced in a coaching environment, yet Rooney got the nod.

Good move for him, he'll be regular starter there.

well, in that case, you've got plenty of room in your life for music.

I dont listen to music much to be honest
B4, I would recommend to anyone to find some good music and spend a couple of hours a day with it on in the background. If you don't have any specific type of music to listen to, trial a few radio stations and see what you like. I alternate between Absolute, Kisstory, Heart 80s, and Radio 1. Music is therapy for the mind and soul.
If you feel stressed and under pressure all the time, music can help. I also think, from the impression I get, that you don't enjoy many hobbies, and everyone needs hobbies. You cannot put all your enjoyment into the Derby County FC basket mate.

As for Rooney, fudge him, he's a quitter. I thought he was a winner, but he's thrown in the towel. No better than Rowett in my eyes

Gossip alert
there’s a bit of gossip. Potentially mischief making, but amusing nonetheless.
Mike Ashley has submitted a bid equal to 37p in the pound on the basis that rival bidders have to match or better this, otherwise Quantuma are legally obliged to accept it.

It feels as though his bubble has burst

not scoured the thread, has anyone said ex Derby YTS Steve Holland yet?

Pretty sure he could argue that he’s put a lot of his personal money into keeping things going with the away trips and training facilities.
Think we just need thank him for his efforts while he was here and wish him well on what he does next.
I'd be surprised if he's sacrificed a week's wages!

where's Paul Cook right now?

Hope he has to buy his way out of his contract.

what does surprise me is that it seems EFL will have had knowledge of intentions for a while and they haven't tipped off Sky/Sun/Nixon/DailyMail/Percy etc

you do realise that it's not them that are buying the club? They cannot meet any deadline, only suggest one (or six).
If I gave you 1 week, 1 month or 1 year to sell your house for vastly way more than it's worth, would you deserve criticism if it remained unsold? Even polite nosey-viewers would pretend they were interested.
