You can shower if you're the size of Warwick Davis, everyone else will have to turn the bathroom into a wet room.
Everything I've heard about the adult weekends sound worse, rammed, drugs, East 17 rolling out on stage on mobility scooters. Not something I will ever want to experience

I cannot relate to this, I never go to Butlins when the families/kids are there, and I only go with the boys for a Music Weekender. I've done Minehead and Skeggy, mainly for 80s Weekenders. I have done Oktoberfest, 90s and Bootleg once each too. We go on the Friday morning and leave on the Monday morning and as a group of 10-16 lads, these Adult Music Weekenders are amazing. Our next one is September and we were talking about it last night, excited for the blowout and laughter. If you want a laugh, I recommend them, 5 star they're not, but you can shower, sleep, eat and drink, so what else do you need?

Neville is the best pundit on the telly by a mile
(even better than Shaun Barker)
I’d love him to have another go at managing, with us
I know it's a topic for another thread, but I agree with you on Neville. The only other pundit I tend to think speaks absolutely brilliantly is Emma Hayes.

Would I have been the only poster teasing B4 that we never caught Pompey if he was around?
Even though I knew he had some difficulties, I used to enjoy a little ribbing at expense of his optimism, however reading this, it makes me sound like a bully! I don't think there's a regular poster/reader here who didn't love B4's valuation of Rams players! 😄

not mine, but saw it on FB and it made me chuckle, I love stuff like this

I’ll be taking the last of the ewes who we managed to adopt orphan lambs onto, back up onto the tops….then just sitting up there looking at the view, thinking thank duck 2024s lambing’ is over, whilst trying to get a signal for updates from the matchday thread.

I buy from local butchers. I was talking about annoying McDonald's adverts

where they make a big deal of saying the beef they use is British or Irish! Who cares?

I really really hate some ads enough that I would refuse the product if it was free.
Huel. I get that ad whenever I use my phone.
You know adverts that show middle aged professional men doing a rap? Car adverts tend to do it. What year was it that somebody first laughed about an out of touch white man getting down with the kidz.
What??! Liverpool players are using Nivea? That's why their skin looks so great on Match of The Day!! It all makes so much sense. Oh, look how much fun they're having rubbing it in! While in full kit too. Add to basket
someone listens to Talksport a lot! 😄

If you pull a face and the wind changes direction you'll stay like it.
I was going to say this one.
Also,
- (I have moles/birth marks) and if they got caught, scratched, or picked, I'd bleed to death! Led to years of panic when play fighting and someone caught the massive mole on my body
- anyone who had a painting of the crying boy in their living room would suddenly have their house burn down
- if you peeped at Santa Claus as he put your presents at the end of the bed, he'd take them all away
- if you were in the road and a car came, no way would the driver stop and avoid killing you, the driver would run you over, no matter if he/she knew you were there! 😄
- I also used to panic if the engine was running and my dad got out of the car, I couldn't understand 'Neutral'

Always hate this month as it would have been my dad's birthday. This year he'd have been 60. Also got the additional stress of my academic job contract running down and trying to work out if I'll get an extension or not... with my industry in the doldrums it's not a fun time to say the least. Also been feeling really down generally with work and struggling to find the motivation to finish what needs to be done.
not wishing to downplay your worries in any way shape or form, and would never tell you how to feel about a beloved family member, but I have vast experience in the contracting/redundancy and general lack of security, and as s*** as it is, I've found that as long as I pick myself up, dust myself down, and conduct myself properly, the rewards will come and the situation resolves itself, I hope that whatever happens workwise, you back yourself and your ability and you are fine.

So disappointing to see the Work & Pensions Secretary Mel Stride saying that the de-stigmatisation of mental health issues has gone “too far” and that we should just consider it the “normal ups and downs of human life”
I'm pretty sure that most people who have contributed to this thread have had their mental health struggles and found that it's the de-stigmatisation of mental health issues which has allowed them to open up - and that's a brilliant thing. None of us are alone
It disgusts me that we have dinosaurs like this in positions of power who think we should go back to the days of telling people to "just get over it" 😞
I think it's dangerous. The link between men (particularly in my age range) committing suicide and their feelings of not wanting to burden/bother anyone is quite large. When I was in my bad place, the feeling of solitude and nobody understanding was quite overwhelming. This forum helped me get away from those feelings and took away my shame and embarrassment for the feelings I had. This, in a long line of out of touch politicians, has been quite stupid here but I hope we have come too far and will continue to.

Has anybody seen this on Netflix? I just had it recommended to me. I've never heard of it. It gets 8.4 on IMDb but the trailer looks a bit hammy to me.

Yes, I watched it straight after Squid Game. I quite enjoyed it.

I know Nidge should get his comeuppance but I strangely have grown to like his character even though he is a complete sh!t 😁
I lost the argument to name our new puppy Nidge, based on her not wanting the dog named after a violent, murdering psychopath.
Weird how she agreed to name him Dexter though 😄

that's not a timetable/order. It's spread over 2/3 venues/halls over 3 nights, usually 3 acts per Venue, per night. They only release the schedule the week before.
