This whole thing still confuses me. Surely CK at knew that at some point he needed to hand over a significant amount of cash to be owner of Derby County and also have money to fund it for a while, to protect the initial outlay. He must have a severe mental-health issue, bordering on immense delusion, or he probably tried to make some quick profit with the investors money, probably in Crypto, and lost it all without actually realising.
I struggle to believe he went through all this with the intention of pulling out last minute and ruining his name and reputation.
I find it intriguing. There's much more to it than he's a chancing con-man!

Where were you when you heard about 9/11 and more to the point
I was working at Ryder Systemcare, and my job was to find the things that pickers couldn't find, to be loaded onto a lorry and delivered the next day. I was looking for a Purple Laura Ashley sofa over in the M Unit building. When a lad called Martin walked past and said "someone just flew a helicopter into the white house... it's on the news in the canteen", so I found the Purple sofa and then wheeled it past the canteen to the loading dock, but looked into the window and spotted about 15 blokes all looking up at the TV, so went in just as the second plane hit! It was so surreal and nothing like what I was expecting!

pot the ball competition in almost all papers. Remember my Dad doing it almost without fail. Never won though!
Did you know that the Spot the Ball competition is not based on where the actual ball is/was? A panel of people decide where to put the ball!! FFS!

fans have short memories and don't live in the past or look to the future. It won't take long for the groaning to start if Liam Rosenior doesn't bring a more positive style of football to Derby. We have been starved of goals for a couple of seasons, he needs to improve that at this lower level.

What products, places, shops etc are overrated in your opinion.
My first contribution will be controversial and I've got my tin hat on ready.
Birds Bakery
Now, it's a perfectly good bakers. They make good products but nothing out of this world. Its overpriced and there is always a massive queue. The last sentence suggests I'm in a minority.
I don't think it's bad just not deserving of the adulation that is bestowed upon it.
I thought this until I found myself working in Coventry, then Birmingham, then Warwick, then down South, then in Bristol etc and couldn't find decent cream cakes for birthdays etc to take into the office. Birds is something to be proud of IMO.
However, to answer the thread..... Costa Coffee, Starbucks, Nero etc. Five Guys burgers, Christmas, Strictly Come Dancing, Adulthood.

I think Mostyn had watched 1883, but @Ted McMinn Football Genius recommended watching Yellowstone first. To that effect anyway!
I watched it before seeing either mentioned on here. Never even seen Yellowstone as an option to watch, yet they were championing 1883 and nowhere in it's blurb did it mention it being part of a series.

For anyone who has access to Paramount + and likes a western, give the following a go…
1/ Yellowstone
2/ 1883 (the Yellowstone origin story)
Must be viewed in that order, both excellent IMHO.
drat, just watched 1883, but not Yellowstone!

I was just going to suggest this. I had to Google it as it wasn’t obvious but managed to work it out when this happened to me. Not that it helped as still had to call the Aa.
yeah, but if he only had to open the bonnet catch, the key should unlock the driver's door or even the central locking system.
