I can't see us getting anywhere with it. I can understand trying and obviously covid is a factor, but did covid directly stop Mel Morris from writing the cheque every month to cover the losses? That's what'd have to be convincing to win this.

I don't think it's a case of appeal for appeals sake, Admin must think there's a case to have a chance to at least halve the 12 points, The EFL loaned to other clubs Covid-19 bail out money, DCFC never/didn't/couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't apply for the said loan for whatever reason, "I would love it just love it" if the EFL are now stocking up with Loo Rolls ?

I've been in Derbyshire for just over a decade now. Pride Park is an outstanding ground and the club deserves to be in the Premiership. Cashley can secure your Championship place and the long-term future of the club, but sadly that level of security potentially comes with a massive price in the case of Cashley. Ironically, we might suffer the same consequences at St. James' but that's a wholly different debate, I suspect.

Cracking post youth, I loved going to Newcastle back in the day, Your town is full of piss eds,Tarts who can't get their knickers off quick enough and great food round China Town, I remember a boozer that had a motor bike hanging from a wall and a fella sitting under it with a huge lump on his head, I was going to ask him "did the bike fall on you" until the barman said "leave well alone lad he's the local nutter" so I did.

I wish you well in your forthcoming seasons...I see the Prem teams are already at your throat and the PL for the Saudis and the Fit and Propper owner, Our Government you will have to thank, As they were the ones that gave it the green light...there's more shyte to come alot more, I think Ashley could have played a blinder here...with all the crap you lot have given him...he just might have left you a lovely leaving present.

    All the best.

Since I’ve supported Derby (roughly 22 years) - the club has always been marketed as a football club for Derby in my eyes, not derbyshire. I think the fact the club is based in Derby and Derby is in south derbyshire doesn’t help encourage derbyshire folk north of the county to support the rams. Having said that, once we are out of this mess, maybe a new owner should really be looking at marketing us as Derby ‘county’ to build / maintain support for the club around the county rather than just in the city. Morris talked about this kinda stuff back in 2015 at those fan events, I remember him basically implying if he could get Derby into the prem he felt the club had a real op to build on the fan base around derbyshire, Staffordshire and even into Notts a little - if we could sustain a prem place. I think the only east mids club that has built support since then, and obviously down to success, is Leicester.

I blame them Romans for coming over here and taking our jobs and Women then naming our town "Derventio", Celtic tribes picking off eachother to claim a bit of land, The Vikings for 'Danelaw' and Town Councillors for agreeing with others to take parts of other Counties.

Not quite , parts to the east are infected by Notts and to the North by Chesterfield and even Sheffield. Plus where due to geography or not a fair number of Mancs and plastic Scousers.

I have a couple of exiled mates who live in Sheffield through work, Derby lads through and through and ST holders so are their kids, Notts will have the same issue as us, DCFC fans who live in the west of that county, Go to Chapel-en-le Frith and Glossop and you're right...Mancs and Scousers but born in Derbyshire...But Wembley in 75 it was full of Derbyshire Folk ?

Dunno why the Geordies always hated him. Just seems like they had delusions of grandeur.

Maybe that they saw him as a Cockney wide boy who wouldn't play their game, Still don't get why the Bar Codes think they're summat special, Good town for going on the lash, The Likely Lads, When the boat Comes In, Aufwiedersein Pet, Geordie Shore, Not forgetting those 2 talellntless geordies who present some game show or summat.

We have a value as either a league 1 or league 2 club and a going concern ..

The huge question is what is that value and will it exceed what MSD can get for whatever assets it has a lien / first call over. ?

If those values as L1 L2 DCFC doesn’t exceed the figures they can get for their share of the fixed assets  then we are in serious do do

What are the players worth in cash ?  …. Given contracts are running down and knowing what we paid for Nathan Byrne values are tumbling … which actually might be good for us

What is the Stadium / Moor farm worth

This is a hardball game .. I am appalled at how slowly the EFL are working in regard to pints deductions  .. we are a member, regardless of administration.. The EFL needs to come clean and play fair or, one could conclude, they are failing protect both their members and the integrity of their competition !

They'll wait untill we've acumalated enough points to move up the Championship then hit us with a -9 point deduction

But you can still get a situation like Bury whose Company is still in admin even though the are not competing in any League at the moment due to being banished from EFL. There has been no winding up order as far as I know.

Steve Dale who bought Bury for £1 still owns the ground i believe...but not the badge ?

BURY AFC have won their battle to prevent controversial businessman Steve Dale trademarking the Bury FC badge in his name. In July 2020, the Bury FC owner applied to the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) to register a trade mark containing the crest of Bury FC and which included the town of Bury's coat of arms.

Don’t know why, but something about Amanda Stavely has alarm bells ringing for me.

Ive seen her interviewed on TV and heard her on Talksport, she comes across as quite arrogant, impolite and self serving.

How as an English woman (with all the equal rights she has enjoyed throughout her life) can be associated with and be the spokeswoman of the people she represents simply astounds me. ???????

I think NUFC may now be dancing with the devil in more ways than one.

A Millionairess in her own right, She's got where she is with not being very nice, She's in it for the Loot and nowt else, Football is going further down a very dark path, State sanctioned Murder by the 80% shareholder of the company that's took over the Bar Codes.

The BBC has asked the Government to disclose the details under the freedom of information act on what the talks were about between the UK Government and the Saudis...the BBC recieved a heavily redacted copy of the 2 meetings, They didn't want to sour relations between the 2 Countries...Shocking!

Isn't dropping 2 points in 5 games classed as a failure when your squad is worth around £110m?

also why did they need to add the 'from 5 unbeaten games!' bit when it's literally impossible to get 13 points from 5 games without going unbeaten?

    Win 4=12 points....Draw 1=1 point...12+1=13 points

    Or am I missing something?

  10. Sad to hear about your Dad and I have some sympathy for you, My Brother passed in April(cancer)we cleared his flat out and found stuff that we never expected, Daughter took all paperwork home to sort out, She gave me a call to say my Brother had not cashed in his 19-20 season ticket refund, The expiry date had passed, A letter was sent and gave him another month to claim, This passed also, She asked if she could make a claim and send his death certificate as proof...she did, An email was recieved to say that they had recieved the email and could she be a little patient...a few weeks later £80+ cheque made out to her was sent, An animal charity was given the money.

All I can think is that because we are in Administration...all cheques have to be autharised and cleared by the Administraters.

To be fare to DCFC they handled it very well ?

  11. Macclesfield, Bury, Wigan, Were teams that were seriously taken advantage of by unscrupulous businessmen, 2 are no longer members of the EFL the other after almost a miraculous escape suffered relegation after a 12 point deduction...and are now doing well, Their fans had nothing to do with their outcome, The EFL who are the regulatory body and gate keepers failed miserably in their duty to protect them from people who only wanted to make money for themselves.

Bolton almost went the same way, Anderson who was the owner/major shareholder wouldn't budge with his demands, The EFL caved in and Anderson walked away with what he wanted.

The ELF signed off our accounts only for some one to complain Maguire/Gibson to force the EFL to take another look at DCFC, Eventually the outcome we all know.

MM set the ball in motion to get a better deal from Sky who had got the deal they wanted from the EFL, MM is on record with his comments that he and the EFL are at loggerheads with each other after he tried to get other Chairman involved in negotiating a better deal...The EFL have never forgiven him.

What's the comman denominator in all this...the Fans!!, No one cares about football supporters.

Ashley would probably be ok for DCFC at the moment.

For the way he allowed his workers to live in Shirebrook he can duck off and die.

Just a question, What has living in Shirebrook to do with Ashley all be it his Warehpouse was situated there, Unless he bought the whole housing stock that is, There were buyers by the 100s offering silly money years ago, Making houses HMOs, There were double bedrooms made into 2 single rooms to get more beds in, The windows would have a partition running up against them to split down the middle.

His Empire in Shirebrook wasn't the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, But i'd take him over a State where human rights are non existant.

Would those said businesses want to do business with the club again. The administrators said they were hoping to get the Roadrider operating again, that is probably a local business that hasn't been paid. Why would 10's of 1000's of locals be up in arms, there aren't that many reliant on the club.

You'd have to ask those "said businesses"

    Supporters.

Anyone with a shread of hope, who knows a thing or two about these types of situations, could you please tell us how you see this situation coming to and end?

15 million owed to MSD, 26, 28 (insert here) millions to HMRC, 8 million to Arsenal, 5 to Cocu etc etc.

How do we as a club wriggle out of this?

Is there a takeover done and dusted and all this is dotting I's and crossing T's before it is announced, or are we really in shtuck.

My Daughter is an Offshore Senior VAT Analyst, She investigates those who have serious wealth but fail to pay their Tax liabilities, I spoke to her about this a few weeks ago, This was her reply...not Verbatum.

DCFC would have had an HMRC adviser working with them before Administration, Since Administration there will be a team with the Administraters trying to come to an amicable conclusion, Liquidation is in the background simply as a threat/bullying tactic, She said and I quote..."HMRC would be Fu**ing stupid to seek Liquidation", There will be 100s of outlying jobs that depend on DCFCs future carrying on, Unfortunately there's businesses that will not be paid and if DCFC pull through this DCFC will want to approach AGAIN those said businesses, So it will be on a CASH only basis...at a guess.

So in essense HMRC could score an own goal if they seek Liquidation, Loss of Tax revenue from those indirectly/directly involved, 10s of 1000s of locals who would be up in arms with HMRC.

Now unfortunately DCFC are dealing with Civil Servents that will not or fail to see the bigger picture, They are there as Government employees and the Government are there equelly to represent the Tax Payer, If you can consider the Billions of £s that are flushed down the toilet at the stroke of a pen by Civil Servents over the years...£25million aint a fortune.

It's better to have a small piece of the pie than nowt.

Well suppose you were in debt.. many people are. So you decided to sell the house … you had an agreed sale and the buyer pulled out when you had already exchanged contracts. You had cancelled your direct debit with the electricity company only to find your buyer had reneged on the deal.

To be honest even without debt you can get threatening letters from people including Hmrc claiming monies that aren’t actually due to them but based on estimated bills .

Once contracts have been exchanged and the purchaser pulls out...then they're in breach of contract and can be sued in a court of Law.

I've been chased for the last 5 months for my deceased Brothers tax laibilities, The last one last month was for late filing of self assesment...£1,200 after i'd filled all relevent forms in, This one pi**ed me off, I was on the phone to a Tax adviser at HMRC who once he'd put in all the details of information i'd sent...he came to the conclusion that my Brother hadn't earned enough in the last 3 years to pay Tax, The Bill which is sent by automated printing in Northern Island doesn't get this information it just regergitates bills until a human being makes a decision...now here's the Rub...HMRC actually owe me £27.00 and I have the paperwork which was sent to me last week.

Dealing with HMRC is a God Damn Nighmare.
