In other news I have tested positive for Covid this morning despite being double jabbed. Still deciding whether I’m going to blame MM ?

I mean, this is the wrong thread for this, but being jabbed doesn't stop you catching it. Just as a seatbelt doesn't stop a car crash. However, just like seatbelts, the jab could save your life.

He was attempting to keep us up - you missed the point. You'd rather have been relegated with no strikers then? You are so sure that Cocu and Mac played youth through choice, but at least they had choice.

You're acting like we stayed up because of anything Rooney did. We stayed up because of a Rotherham fixture pile up and despite Wednesday's 8 point deduction. His attempt to keep us up, by doing things like dropping youngsters such as Buchanan for old man Forsyth, yielded 1 win in his last 15 games.

He gave Stretton an opportunity. Who else is there that looked decent? Oh yeah Duncan! Gregory was a good signing.

You've missed the point, unsurprisingly. I'm trying to say that Rooney's philosophy isn't youth, it's necessity and when he's had options, he's gone for OAPs.

I have no sense of entitlement and I don’t have the right to know more than anyone else or know things that I don’t need to. However, if you are communicating to fans it should be tell everyone or don’t say anything at all. This scenario where only certain people know the information is going to cause unnecessary divides between the fan base at a time when we all need to stick together more than ever.

I can understand what the club have tried to do but feel like it’s turned into a bit of an own goal.

It's not even half 8... give the guys chance to actually write it all out. They're not professional journalists, some of whom will have had kids to get back to, jobs to wake up to or long journeys to make. Not that easy to whack out a full account of a 4 hour meeting.

I suspect when you read what Daveo will say, and whatever the rest of them say, it will be a lot less inflammatory than what the Punjabi Rams tweeted - which with the lack of detail provided has done nothing but fan flames quite frankly.

Just hold your horses and get angry when we've seen properly what was said.

Give it a rest, it's not like Rooney isn't bringing young players through. They aren't consistent or predictable in their development.

Rooney is doing it through necessity though, not because of some grand philosophy. Just look at the striker situation last year, was CKR, then brought in Gregory, then he played Lawrence... all over giving any of our own a go.

Now, I agree that Mel is being a bit of an arse with this statement giving the fact we have zero prospect of signing anyone so we're forced to play the youngsters due to his own actions, so it doesn't actually make sense. But the entrusting of our youth players to Rooney is frighteningly bad.

Fair play to @Davidfor representing the forum and i pressume he did his best to get our questions out there.

From what i have seen though David left early to get his train home? Surely it would have been more ideal to send someone who could actually stay the duration of the meeting as we want as much information as possible?

Just going to have to rely on other fan groups write ups i suppose.

The meeting was supposed to finish at 8:45pm. It overran significantly.

Less if these links to West Brom are true.

No idea what he's worth in the current climate but he has consistently flattered to deceive so I won't be heart broken if he were to go over other players.

The same article that said we were selling him to West Brom said we were buying QPR's Tom Carroll. Says all you need to know about credibility.

If that's so then it is very disappointing to hear. I was hoping that the constant advice from the government not to let our guard down and be vigilant in public places had put people off going and it would be the same for most clubs.

Might be slightly down in places but no, it's this bad because the club is. We've had bad teams before, but I don't ever remembering being this disillusioned.

It's sad that the first game of the season is looking like being a quiet one attendance wise, but it will be interesting to see what the attendance is like at other clubs generally.

Think it's a sell out for Forest's first. I have no doubt whatsoever that ours would be too if we weren't a basket case.

I could go, but I'm not. Rather go watch Belper v Mickleover in a friendly. First time I've willfully not been to a home game in 20 years.

Yes I’d go as far as saying those representatives going today should turn down the offer if they have to sign a NDA. If the information being shared is good enough for some it should be good enough for all “unedited”. We’re all Derby aren’t we? Or aren't some us not Derby enough to know exactly what’s going on?. Yes it’s a bit of a tantrum but I feel completely let down by the club over this

We, here, are all Derby. But this is to protect Derby from those that aren't "all Derby".

Man city, liverpool and man utd have all benefited from our ability to develop youth by signing/poaching 5 talented players from us before we had a chance to give them a first team game.

I imagine they will be watching all our youth teams for more of the same thing. So why not embrace this? Why not use this for an advantage for our first team?

Is it not possible that we could say to them "if you want to get our young players before any of the other top english clubs thats ok. 5 year first refusal on any of our young players and we get the pick of any loan player for that duration with no wages or fee to be paid"

If they want the next delap or Gordon thats ok and a deal like this might mean they wont miss out. Imagine city might have liked first dibs on Gordon over liverpool for example.

Because we don’t have a say. They’re all straight tribunals anyway because of their age, so there’s no deal in that way to be done unless it’s pure good faith.

Did any Burton fans turn up and try and create a rivalry with them? Looks a big attendance for Burton so a lot of Mickleover fans must have been there.

Buzzing for the hoards of Burton fans turning up at Belper Town tomorrow.

    Chips, mushy peas, gravy

Cheese pretty much goes with anything and improves it, no not cornflakes don't be weird, but I recently discovered that it's even great on chips with gravy on top.

Look at pizzas, no cheese no pizza, you know when it's a crap pizza when you can see too much tomato puree.

If you want to gain weight, melt some cheese on a bowl of crisps, amazing, just highly calorific and would make your doctor cry.

I know I'll get at least one angry reaction for this post, so I might as well say it, if you don't like cheese you're a proper wrong'un and to be fair we didn't need cheese to figure that out, isn't that right @DarkFruitsRam7?

Chips, cheese and gravy is basically Poutine.

I've long said there's no food that cheese doesn't improve. Curry? Paneer or cheese naan. Cake? Cheesecake. You name it, cheese can be used to improve it.

I think we're really shooting ourselves in the foot by not releasing season tickets... if we're bottom 3 after a few months, the attendances are going to plummet.

Think they'll already be low. Can't see it being above 20,000 next Saturday in all honesty.
