Man City’s under 14’s did alright playing passing football against a League 1 team this week
They also lost 5-0 against Warne last season in the same cup.

Bartosz Cybulski is on loan at Belper and George Nunn has been loaned to Mickleover.
Cybulski is at Matlock. Grewal-Pollard signed for Belper but hasn’t even been in the squad in the several games since it got announced so not sure what happened there. Belper have also signed Cian Kelly-Caprani from Derby, who started Belper’s draw last night against Radcliffe.

Win this and the two games in hand and the gap is only 1 point
It is, but that requires to win all 3 games which isn't the most likely outcome. Lose this one, and you're 7 points off even if you do win the other two.

Very tough game this. Already 10 points behind them, albeit with 2 games in hand. Huge test for Warne early in his tenure. Would say that I'd think we'd struggle to win with Rosenior, so it's not like we stand any less of a chance now.

Forest continuing to do what Cooper pivoted to 3 games ago now... decided to finally play a midfield and stop being so wide open, and since then they've scored 1 goal (a header from a free kick) and haven't frankly looked like creating a chance. On the flip side, they've equally only conceded 2 in that period.

This could be a new low, in amongst many lows.

We're gonna end up playing Lambert & Butler Miners Welfare aren't we?
-
Bird, Knight and Sibley. That's potentially the future, and has been for a few years. Really need to play them together to see what we actually have. The balance isn't there with Hourihane and Smith we haven't seen enough of (especially in the deeper role he's better in).

I would agree that the height that the wing backs play at leaves our CBs exposed down the sides but also only Bird shields them. We are unable to stop balls being played into forwards feet on a regular basis. Listing their shots only tells part of the story. There were also three occasions when Accrington caught us on the break and cocked up good opportunities with poor passing.
I can't help but think that this will be a rollercoaster season with us unable to put a long run of wins together unless we rebalance the side. This could be done in two ways, more defensively capable wing backs or a less attacking midfield balance. The only other alternative is to upgrade our CBs, especially in regards to pace, as they look to be continuously exposed to a number of 3 on 3s during games.
This was a problem v Port Vale too, that was exacerbated by the fact we couldn't beat them in the air either. We will definitely give up chances playing like this with slow centre backs, 2 of which are quite short, and wide players who are far more interested in being attackers and not much of a midfield shield either. The only hope is we will trouble teams enough going the other way to score plenty more goals.

I thought we could as the 3 game suspension only applies to league games. Could be wrong.
Domestic bans are usually just that. e.g. if you get sent off in an FA Cup game, you're banned in the league too.

You brought up the average person.
The average person will know what we're getting as a player if they know about his attributes or can "do any of those things", If the average fan...me...knows very little to nothing about a player...me...would then be "underwhelmed" with the signing.
If our next signing is a free agent Crewe reserve who's a left sided defender and I know nothing about him...I'd be just as "underwhelmed"
Your turn ?
Don’t need to say anything. You’ve proved my point yourself.

I think you'll find it means quite a lot, Can he catch a ball, Does he command his area, Does he talk to his defence, Is he confident, All those players I listed you'll find "the average person" knew about them in some shape of form.
Nice try tho
How does the average person having heard of a player or not denote whether he can do any of those things? That makes no sense at all, and kind of proves my point.

What's your point?, I knew of the players below, I just never heard of Joe Wildsmith.
Hourihane
Collins
McGoldrick
Chester
NML
Barkhuizen
My point is, just because the average person in the stand may not have heard of someone doesn’t mean anything. And the longer we are in this league, the more likely that’s going to be the case.

Doesn’t include the full Netflix library either, as well as adverts.

Underwhelmed when he signed...who's Joe Wildsmith ?♀️,
Are you Joe McClaren? That was our whole recruitment policy. Have we heard of them? If so, pay whatever we need to.

Who needs Hourihane and his match winners eh?
Might not need screamers so often if we were better in the rest of the game.

Those prices are still ridiculous.

It is a shame their petty, and frankly deluded, manager sours the club somewhat.
