Osula and Dobbin are both loans, at some point they return to their respective clubs.
If they do well, I assume that recall happens sooner.
Dobbin is not getting a look in in the premier league and Sheff Utd are 2nd chasing promotion and won’t be throwing it at a guy with 1 start ever. Chill.

McGoldrick is supposed to be in contention for Accrington. We have Collins, Dobbins, Barkhuizen, Osulu as well. The U21 don't have a fixture for more than two months. Hence they are letting players out on loan for experience and match fitness. But I would have thought Cybulski might have warranted interest from a National League or Division Two Club.
Can’t go there because of the transfer window, hence they’re being loaned out to lower levels.

Depends on your definition of long ball. An aimless hoof is bad and playing it up to a striker with a defender on top of him to try and win a header (with the players we have) is bad. A longer ball, utilising channels or runs from deep is not inherently bad. In fact, going long, especially early in games, often then forces the defence to respect that ball which pushes them deeper and gives you space to play it out shorter anyway.

Also when you hear him say he gives as much as he physically can to charity from the proceeds, sorry Craig, but should that not be, all profits from the book go to charity?
Rest of it must go towards paying £120+ for Paul and Shark sweatshirts.

Think we need 2 up front with the lack of Collins this time.

Purely from a football standpoint Monday night, first time I've seen Forest play with a midfield this season but as a result it was the most impotent they'd looked. Didn't look like scoring all night, so was no surprise their only goal was a set piece.
I know Dennis scored, but why Awoniyi isn't their main striker every week I have no idea. He's looked a handful every time i've seen him.

“As much as possible” he said on the podcast, but you’re right, that was what he said previously.
I give as much as possible to charity too... doesn't amount to much.

Bird not enough protection and Knight keeps gravitating to RB area . Hourihane needs to be further forward so I’d put Jake Rooney in as a 4th midfielder.
Wildsmith
Chester. Davies Cashin
Rooney
Knight Bird.
HorihaneMDL Sibley
Dobbin
Because of availablity due to suspension and injury
That formation would be wonderful if pitches were half as wide as they are. There's zero out wide there.
-
Balance has been the biggest problem. Hourihane and Bird, whilst not identical in positioning, are quite similar, and Knight has been at full back. We've been a bit lightweight and far too often it's Bird surrounded by 2 or 3 opposition players in the middle.

They are incredibly slow to retrieve the ball we’re in a losing position and it’s quickly needed.
Was quite noticeable yesterday.
Especially when Rammie had to end up kicking it back to their goalkeeper with it rolling all but 1 yard!
We could really do with 13/14 year olds who are able to read the tempo of the game instead of small children.
That was massively pathetic. The ball was off the pitch, the ballboy didn't move, so Rammie did and he may as well not have.

What do you think to Roberts being used more central for his pace. .
Thought that was a good call by PW
I think him or Rooney should’ve started instead of Stearman. We weren’t winning headers, so Stearman served no purpose. You may as well utilise the better qualities either of the other two have for a back 3.

Absolutely this. At 1-0 up, we should’ve adopted a more posession-based game, work the ball, work the opposition. Instead we continued to go route 1 and surrendered possession so cheaply. Ref was clearly a Port Vale fan but we played into their hands & lacked intelligence & leadership on the pitch. Massive learning points there for the team.
Bigger issue for me was not recognising where danger was coming from. We struggled to win a single header properly, and they gained territory and pressure as a result. We didn’t adapt whatsoever to that. Playing with such attacking players as wing backs is ok, but you’re asking slow defenders to defend out to the touch line and two of the defenders are short. So when you have no control and you’re not recognising how they’re causing problems, it’s an issue.
-
Midfield still an issue. This isn’t a Warne issue, it’s been a problem all season. Bird dangling legs in and too tentative for far too much of games. Hourihane largely anonymous most weeks.
Then when you play 3 at the back and 2 of them are so unbelievably slow, you’re asking them to cover out to the touchline which they can’t do.
Most of our downfall, beyond the referee, was the inability to win headers today. Was 30mins in before Cashin headed the ball in the right direction. Caused so much pressure it was silly. They weren’t a big side, we just lacked any kinder of muscle about us.
All that said, we win that game with a referee that wasn’t that guy.

This, although at first look I thought the first pen was also a correct decision. I was less convinced on the second look and haven't seen it again since.
Definitely looked a pen for the second, and definitely a red for Collins.
The rest of his performance was a breathtaking display of ineptitude! Not a chance that first one was. Tom Daly would’ve been proud.

Manager marks the referee below 50/100, and has to then submit a report explaining the low mark.
And then nothing happens. Ever.
Twatwell refereed that fateful game against forest, gave a goal for Reading that hit the sideboard at Watford and still ended up in the premier league. It’s pathetic.

Can’t play 3 at the back with Stearman and Chester. Way too slow and immobile. Can’t cover any ground whatsoever.

The focus will be on the ref, but we looked garbage. Headless chickens, no composure, unorganised, quick to give the ball away, no ideas, endlessly pumping bad balls into the final third.
There is nothing left of all the good parts of Rosenior’s game.
Obviously not writing Warne off yet. I know we’re only three games in, but all three performances have had similar traits. I’m hoping this is a step back to move forward, because right now I’m not seeing anything positive this new coaching staff are trying to do.
Hard to build anything when the referee is constantly giving nonsensical free kicks in their favour. Try and build pressure? Free kick for them. Try and calm it down? Free kick to them.
We couldn’t win a header to save our life and that was the basis for every attack they had, but we win that with a somewhat competent referee.

Not sure what it says to be honest. It’s short term, Belper obviously very local, they did get promoted last year. Likely still training with Derby as well as Belper. Thought Derby rated him a bit higher though, but guess see what happens after this spell

So, we’ve all discussed the terrible balance of a midfield of Bird and Hourihane. Now Hourihane drops for Sibley, and Sibley plays several really good set piece deliveries which is supposed to be one of the main positives of Hourihane, and we play well in general… just leaves me thinking, is the occasional screamer worth being so disjointed from open play every game?
