Think Scott Loach has gained a lot of fans understanding, respect, admiration and support with that interview - without even meaning to!

It's about getting goals from all over the pitch. Signing players like Joe Ward who got 7 as a right wing back last season helps.

Problem he has is his energy is limitless. So he does so much of the dirty work, and when teams like to press he’s ideal. The downside is he can’t beat a man for pace, doesn’t have a trick or even the drop of a shoulder. So he will always struggle in those advanced positions. He’s best as a box to box midfielder but there’s only so many teams that play with that type of player these days. I sense a permanent switch to wing back maybe the best spot for him to use that engine and aggression he has at both ends of the pitch. 

Not one of the three were linked to us or even mentioned in the slightest by any media outlet or journalist before they signed.
I quite like it. 

I’m pretty relaxed over it all, end of the day, he’s not a player we should be relying on to play week in week out going into next season. We was extremely lucky to get what we got out of him last season, you can’t expect that again out of his legs.
Of course I would love him to stay, play a role, however I wouldn’t be devastated if he chose to end his career at the club he supports and where it all started, that’s something which money can’t buy. 
In the same position, I’d probably join Notts County if I was him.

What surprises me is that Clowes works with Warne all week, and he doesn’t seem to find him annoying nor can he see how rubbish he has been since taking over from Liam. Actually that is as worrying as it is surprising.

Perfect statement that sets the tone just right. We're lucky to have Clowes at the helm, who bought the club for all the right reasons. 

If this is it today, the end of our season, the players should leave the pitch with their heads held high.
A bunch of out of contract players, came together as a team over one summer and took us to the last day with a chance to be in the play offs.
Forget any frustrations or feeling of disappointment, we cannot ignore the context around this season.
It’s been incredible.
At 4pm, if we are in the play offs, what an unbelievable achievement that would be.. 
Whilst the football may not have been as sexy as it was under McClaren in 13/14, the greatest season in recent times, in my own personal hall of fame seasons this one would rank higher thanks to David Clowes, Liam Rosenior and Paul Warne.

Sorry, but I have to call this out. As a referee and someone who knows how observers work, nothing could be further from the truth. They are judged on getting the decisions right, nothing more. The size of crowd, hostility etc has nothing whatsoever to do with it. Give an incorrect penalty "against Derby in front of 30k at Pride Park or sending a Wednesday player off in front of 20k at Hillsborough" and you'll be marked down, simple as that. 
There's only one way to show how adept they at "dealing with hostile crowds/situations & deserving of higher profile fixtures", and that's managing the players, managing the game and getting the decisions correct. Nothing more. I know your opinion feeds into the ridiculous conspiracy that someone everyone is against us, but I'm afraid it's just incorrect. 

I tend to agree with this. I take Angie's point completely about "where do we draw the line?" but I think my answer would be "somewhere after this guy". At the moment it feels like there is barely a line at all.
I'm sure proper auditing wouldn't come cheap, and both the government and EFL are probably worried that fans (who tend to get excited about any proposed sale, and aren't the best at asking difficult questions) would see them as "the bad guy". But keeping people like this out of football isn't being "the bad guy". It's doing your job as the regulator, and protector, of the game.

was at the game yesterday , thought we did ok in what was a potential banana skin of a game, yes it wasnt pretty but at this stage of the season its the points that matter whichever way you get them . i see the same old faces are out in force calling out the manager , players , tactics , subs etc but i still believe everybody is doing their best for this football club under challenging circumstances
                                                                                  

To Derby County fans of a certain age this man was God, he was our generations Kevin Hector, his name would reverberate around the Baseball Ground for many years, even long after he had left us, it was his goals that dragged us kicking and screaming up the football league, Peter Taylor’s last moment of genius to add to those many legends he had spotted years before with his mate Brian.
Bobby is a super proud man, he still doesn’t understand the cult hero status that he holds in Derby with the fans, I think that it is a sad reflection on football that he is now working as a baggage handler at Leeds airport.
He should be walking around in diamond encrusted shoes, driving his Aston Martin, he has tried numerous years to let back into the club as a coach with the youth team but that became impenetrable under a certain individual and also MM.
He worked at St George’s for the FA for a number of years.
In my eyes he is an absolute legend of Derby County, an absolute idol as a kid, when everybody else had the keegans, dalglshes and Linekers we had Bobby, we might have been in the third division but it didn’t matter !
he never missed those one on ones with the keeper, he got his head in where it hurt and he had that great 80s moustache.
so heres to you Bobby Davison, Derby loves you more than you will know !
 

That Beck was the worst player I’ve ever seen play for Derby. Derek Hales was also a complete plonker.

Rosenior until the end of the season.  Make a call then as to whether he has done enough.  But to change before that would be folly.  

The year is 2130. Derby fans traveling to Mars for their pre season tour are still singing about a Stan Collymore? Apparently he was a footballer but there's no other mention of him in history books. 

Edit: Bottom line is for me a big no to gambling advertising just like not advertising smoking nor alcohol.

I only really watch derby. I rarely watch premier league stuff, I’ll occasionally watch the highlights if something interesting has happened, and I’ll follow it all on the radio. If I’m on a long journey and there’s a random match on, I’ll often listen to it. So all the WSL stuff doesn’t really interest me at all, not cos it’s not interesting, but because I have absolutely no skin in the game. 
but I am an England fan, so I’ll watch England matches whenever I can, and I’m as happy to watch the women as I am the men. It really makes no difference to me who’s playing, as long as they’re wearing the England shirt, and they’re not playing crap football.
