To be fair, they look better than mine. Pastry was a bit thin so was some leaking.

Had a bit of seepage too and was a nightmare to carve as the pastry had a lot less strength than the beef. Had to kind of rebuild it on the plate but having done so it looked ok.

Main thing is the beef at the end of the day. (Bloody cat has turned her nose up at the left overs though ?‍♂️. Must prefer horse meat).

There's obviously a reason why Morrison has been through so many clubs in his "career" to date.

Don't think Rooney would have chosen him if he had other more feasible alternatives.

I think there was something in the Jack Wilshire chatter in the summer. Could have been plan A.

Can't wait to see the back of this year. Will say now I'm ok, but it's been a challenging year, starting out with Derby going into admin.

Broken foot makes you realise how much you need both your feet

Next up both sisters and partners testing positive for Covid, little sister has been hit pretty hard.

Out of isolation period but still having breathing issues.

Next up Mum has also tested positive, home alone for Christmas, not a lot I can do other than FaceTime. Luckily she's not been hit hard by it, first couple of days were rough but quickly recovered.

Was due down for the first family Christmas my side for years, that was cancelled with my mum still isolating until next weekend.

Now the hammer blow, Leanne's sister in law found out this week she has 5 months to live, been having tests for pains, was suspected kidney stones, came back she has kidney cancer which has spread to her lungs.

Tomorrow is now billed as the "last time Christmas" for her whilst her other brother was sectioned again at the weekend. Believes Adele is in there with him.

Football has become secondary at the minute, but not lost on me that the clubs future is in serious doubt.

    Roll on 2022

Sorry to hear about your recent stresses.

Despite the ?video quality this always cheers me up… Went to matches with my dad through Jim Smith era seeing better footy, but this is the season that I remember more fondly as we got to got to Wembley together and see us win. He died a few years later but the memories are still great from this time.

Isn't one of the most expensive costs for the NHS diabetes treatment? Isn't that often caused by obesity? Should they be expected to pay for their treatment too?

Even if antivaxxers are a bit silly, it's a dangerous precedent to set.

Thing is, the morbidly obese are not causing lockdowns and restrictions causing innocent folk to lose their jobs..

(I think stronger encouragement for those obese to stop harming themselves would be a great thing mind you)

  5. Thing is, DCFC is big enough with enough fans that it can make money if chosen to run that way, where as Bury really can’t (no disrespect).

It can’t be in interest of a single person or entity for us to be liquidated and Phoenixd into Micky mouse league.

More likely is surely creditors getting minimal amount, then a bunch of extra EFL points fines followed by a L1 relegation battle?

This is the real likely worse case for me. The stadium owner will get a match day rent.

  6. I am still in the 4kit and see what happens camp.

I am triple vax’d. Will wear mask where it seems appropriate, work from home currently… but…

If we (rules) go any further I’m f’ing out…The piss your pants Welsh government are really pissing me off for some reason.. Corona and different flavours of it are here to stay, we need to set up to deal with it 4cough with any more restrictions.

PS. Antivaxers should pay for Corona treatment, not with my tax $.

    That’s it…

  7. The admins probably got the gig because of their good past rep for dealing with other similar situations. They won’t want one of their gigs (us) to fail as they may not get similar work again.

Pretty sure they will be desperate for a none liquidation outcome. They will have some pretty tricky questions to answer if it is liquidation as they will have run up the £2m+ bill to run the club when it could have been liquidated in October.

Have either Appleby or gadsby got or proved they have enough cash to actually but the club.

You “only” need to have more than the liquidated assets value (ie sell players and…. Not much else left…) and cover admins fees then you could have conversations in the context of..

“Sorry EFL hit us for more points as we can’t pay any creditors much so we’ll have to go the Luton route and take it from there…. Otherwise liquidate then EFL if that’s what you want”..

I was considering doing the same, but I imagine the wetness from the beef will spoil the pastry. I'm not taking any chances and will be doing it Saturday morning.

Come to same conclusion. Might make the content of the intermediate layer early though. Will report back post the big day…

  10. I am going for beef Wellington also (Jamie Oliver recipe)

Not told the kids it’s got chicken livers in the inter layer between meat and pastry.

Thinking of making it early (tonight) and fridging it. Any experiences of this is in DCFCFans world?

It's not just klopp his assistant is moaning that the poor souls have to play twice in 4 days and the massive bore Henderson says nobody cares about their welfare etc etc football and footballers will soon disappear up their own arses.

Henderson made me vomit in the car earlier with his ducking winging.
