What is the construct of the panel hearing the appeal, do we know?
Also in the next breath wondering how independent it will be (ie is it more likely to be a rubber stamp exercise as Gibson has the final say or not).

Why? (Can’t be bothered to read all the thread)

Any investment makes sense to me only with the aim of achieving PL as the end point.
If you were buying purely to exist in Champ then it makes no sense at all.
Depends a bit on where you think future EFL rules will end up to as well. (Bit like the situation within F1 where they are trying to level the field more with regulation).
If they manage to get new rules reducing the advantage of relegated clubs then it is likely to help rejuvenated clubs with high revenue (season tickets and commercial) streams which I would hope us to be.

Seem in a bit of free fall. It will be interesting if they were relegated if the EFL will get their impaling poles out to welcome them.

Let’s go and slap them in the chops

I know this is boring but I've been pulled in to reading otib and their discussion on us.
I don't really understand their obsession with us not filing accounts with CH like it's a crime against humanity. I thought it was known that the reason why we've not filed accounts was due to the fact that a fundamental feature of our accounting process has been under scrutiny for so long (years and years) by the efl. Hence why they've not been filed. I also don't quite understand why this in itself has given us (or not) a sporting advantage. Is not filing accounts with CH an offence in itself with proscribed penalty? Surely it is dependent on the outcome of discussions with the efl about the acceptability of amortisation techniques which has been ongoing for literally 2+years?
The DC was clear in that the breach in how the amortisation was described and evidenced in the accounts only merited a small punishment... Any case leading on from that should be based on its own merits.
Derby will eventually be punished (or not, if nothing to answer for) for breaking the rules and an appropriate penalty will be applied.
Its clear Derby and the efl (and by extension the other clubs) don't trust each other... The independent panels are the best way to resolve this.
I feel like the whole thing is so blown out of proportion and the background to the whole thing matters.
Administration is a separate issue and we'll see what happens.
It looks like on OTIB page it is mainly just 4 people venting amongst themselves (a lot of the time Mr Plop just replying to himself).
Be surprised if it is at all representative of Bristol City supporters in general or even the OTIB members. Just a few nutcases with its non elected emperor.
Maybe some other clubs have a similar little hate clubs on other forums but we just haven’t spotted them in the depths of the web.

Another goal given away by Byrne not having a clue what is going on around him.
Thought Byrne was poop going forward too which was his strength once.

It like having a wired proxy mr pop in here having his OTIB post and ours copied/quoted backwards and forward. Why don’t we let him rejoin (assume banned). To make the debate less complex.?

Maybe the EFL should focus on creating a level playing field Championship..not a stacked love-in for parachute payments clubs..
I’m not sure EFL like the parachute payments at all TBF. Should be a priority to change for sure as in the post COVID world it where the bust and nearly bust champ clubs have finished cutting their cloth the budget disparity to the yo-yo brigade will be even more stark.

it's not just the referee's though, it's the linesmen and 4th official's that have also been poor this year. The longer it goes on the more it makes me wonder about it.
I also don't want VAR but if it was in use, we would undeniably have more points on the board now.
Assuming we could score penalties….

I remember signing 6’7” Kevin Francis for a bag of footballs from Mike Oak Rovers.
Bit of a cult hero in early 90’s.
