Arthur Okonkwo would be a decent young (22) goalkeeping option on a free from Arsenal.
He spent last season on loan at Wrexham keeping 14 clean sheets. He has had previous successful loan spells at Sturm Graz, 18 games with 6 clean sheets & Crewe with 26 games and 10 clean sheets.
Watching the Wrexham doc it appears them signing him last season was a real coup as he was so highly rated

Do we know his route to Derby?
Dont think he was with us from a nipper was he, which means we scouted/recruited him?

Ashley Ward was not dead fit (like my wife made out)
-
He signed yet?

Think a relegated Champ team will pick him up. Huddersfield or Bham.

Paul Warne said that they have been looking at championship standard players since January in preparation for going up. Josh Windass is not and will not ever be a championship standard player. Ebou Adams/Dwight Gayle for example are.. and I can imagine we will get rid of Waggy and keep Gayle, get rid of Wash and find a new potential replacement for Collo who I imagine won't be our number 1 striker for next season.
Strikers.
I would give Collo 1y, keep Brown with the squad until Jan at least and then sign 2-3 new.
One of the new would be the play most weeks Collo upgrade (permanent).
Another would be quality prem loan, but these won’t generally be confirmed until late August so I would expect Gayle to train with a carrot of contract, also backup in case Prem loan does not happen.
None of these would be Windass IMO, prefer a younger with potential. Probably not from Champ due to cost.
Realistically, we can’t afford a finished article champ striker age <28 with potential to improve so should plan realistically.
If we can get an upgrade on Collo in next couple of weeks then fine. But don’t want to drag on toward July without any forwards contracted.

I personally think this will have influenced the number of strikers that PW will look to recruit. Having Brown as 4th choice does (not*) seem too risky.

If we sign League 1 or players from struggling champ clubs (Like SW) then they need to be up and coming types IMO.
Obviously exceptions to this, but don’t think Windass is one. Collins would probably get as many goals.

Rumour that Hull City, Derby County and West Brom 'considering' move for Sheffield Wednesday attacker josh windass.
I wouldn't call him a great prospect as last season he had 6 goals and 2 assists. He also picked up 7 yellow cards.
Was “only ok” in L1

“Bald Eagle” to the tune of Wonderwall.
Great times beating the top teams in the prem. -

At the end of the day, it probably depends who else wants him.
On pedigree it’s a good possible, but only if it fits the wage bill and he is good human.

Just seen him in COOP Allestree.

Rob Hulse loved a battle I seem to remember.

Hull popped straight back up a few years ago, seeing as Brum “only just” got relegated with reasonable points tally, I think they will be up there next season.
It won’t be a walk in the park though for any team.

Worst points to survive is 34 (West Brom). Good chance of beating that record.

They will be hurting, like we were.
