That's still not an appropriate stance for a regulator to have, and effectively that's what the EFL are in terms of the football league. It implies that the relationship between the club and the EFL will change how the rules apply to you.

Would also set a precedent which could impact another club who’s chairman they actually like a bit.

(Suspect EFL Probably dislike Gibson almost as much as Mel as they both seem to be trouble for them)

  2. Assuming we ARE allowed to appeal the penalty imposed, then this I would guess is why any points reduction cannot be applied this season* as you could not be unrelegated with a successful appeal and then we are all back in the courts asking for huge compensation for being in the wrong division.

*Assuming usual glacial pace that EFL do anything. Personally can’t see why it could not all be done in a couple of weeks.

We shouldn’t pay money for anyone as we have been keeping all the other clubs in credit with crap purchases and then they have the cheek to complain that we spend too much.

I think we will need to pay for centre forward. Either in fee if contracted, or wages if out of contract (or loan fee if prem reserve).

    Other than that, I agree.

We need a centre back who is a leader and vocal, as good as Clarke is he isnt that. We need a younger version of Davies, just like we need a younger & more mobile version of CKR

At his best I thought CKR was more mobile than I expected, but in recent weeks he has not been fully fit. Did not expect to be using him this much, but with R&R I expect him to be useful to us next season.

Definitely need a #1 striker next year. This will be the biggest recruitment test as while there will be some quality budget opportunities in other positions, goal scorers never come cheap. Need to sign a “Tony” from a prem club before they become a “Tony”.

As football is largly a substitute for religion in the modern world, perhaps we should suggest some sort of eternal damnation for those who refuse it? "There sould shall be senteced to only watch re-run matches from the Paul Jewell era, forever hungering for the excitment of Nigel Clough but recieving only Paul Jewell and never Steve McClaren"

The Paul Jewel era games were better to watch than current Rooney/Cocu ones from this sesson.

  6. Some of the football was pretty Meh at times..

If he had stayed without Mount and Tomori I suspect that last season would have been a big struggle for him with no better finish than Cocu achieved (and the usual crowd calling for his sacking).
