Watching Naked Gun clips on YouTube with mates and beer. Most I’ve laughed in 2021.

That's called 'doing a Leicester' and I want no part of it.
I don’t think you are correct. This is saving a business that would have otherwise failed giving benefit to creditors.*
Letting it fail and go into admin is doing a Leicester.
*Is there really any other option for a business with huge debt and little income?
-
Isn’t there some insolvency steps that occur before you are talking admin?
Creditors getting Xp/£ rather than risk of nothing.
Helping club recover should be in the interest of the creditors with chance of getting future return.
I guess MM being one of the biggest creditors, probably the one not so keen?

Pearson would probably release Chris Martin if he could. Would we be interested (?)?

Boris Johnson texted me last night saying hubba hubba big girl.
Dont know if this is code for “I have loads of cash to buy Derby, but can you lend me £58 for a chair from home bargains”

Suspect it is choice (for MM) of having a fake better offer from Arabic and Spanish chancers or mediocre offer which is more realistic value from US given current state of the market.

Almost certainly won't be applied this season.
At the pace it will take this other panel to decide the penalty it may be the season after.
-
Assuming we ARE allowed to appeal the penalty imposed, then this I would guess is why any points reduction cannot be applied this season* as you could not be unrelegated with a successful appeal and then we are all back in the courts asking for huge compensation for being in the wrong division.
*Assuming usual glacial pace that EFL do anything. Personally can’t see why it could not all be done in a couple of weeks.

We shouldn’t pay money for anyone as we have been keeping all the other clubs in credit with crap purchases and then they have the cheek to complain that we spend too much.
I think we will need to pay for centre forward. Either in fee if contracted, or wages if out of contract (or loan fee if prem reserve).
Other than that, I agree.

We need a centre back who is a leader and vocal, as good as Clarke is he isnt that. We need a younger version of Davies, just like we need a younger & more mobile version of CKR
At his best I thought CKR was more mobile than I expected, but in recent weeks he has not been fully fit. Did not expect to be using him this much, but with R&R I expect him to be useful to us next season.
Definitely need a #1 striker next year. This will be the biggest recruitment test as while there will be some quality budget opportunities in other positions, goal scorers never come cheap. Need to sign a “Tony” from a prem club before they become a “Tony”.

As football is largly a substitute for religion in the modern world, perhaps we should suggest some sort of eternal damnation for those who refuse it? "There sould shall be senteced to only watch re-run matches from the Paul Jewell era, forever hungering for the excitment of Nigel Clough but recieving only Paul Jewell and never Steve McClaren"
The Paul Jewel era games were better to watch than current Rooney/Cocu ones from this sesson.

Can’t beat a bit of Roquefort on your cracker.
(Can’t pun so just keeping you updated prior to any announcement).

Sounds pretty speculative/ obvious link to me.

Some of the football was pretty Meh at times..
If he had stayed without Mount and Tomori I suspect that last season would have been a big struggle for him with no better finish than Cocu achieved (and the usual crowd calling for his sacking).

SNAP!
Absolutely no need for a new thread, when a perfectly titled and appropriate (long running) thread already exists.
The OP to this thread would have fit right in...Sigh...
Very rarely start a thread and I am called out for annoying people...
Some irony here somewhere..

When my daughters don’t put towel on the rail right (just kind of balled up stuffed).. grr.
Why. Why does it irritate me?
What gets your goat?

I think title (autos) push looks tricky when you think also of likely quality coming down from prem.
No reason to not feel optimistic about playoffs given form if last few months. Yes, some players will come and others will go but likely to be many available because of covid etc...

Lower risk for us going down the loan route I assume.
If he turns out amazing, someone else might then buy him in the summer though.

Would also set a precedent which could impact another club who’s chairman they actually like a bit.
(Suspect EFL Probably dislike Gibson almost as much as Mel as they both seem to be trouble for them)
