I think I read somewhere ( probably the sun) that only people who have been to at least one of the first four trophy games qualify for a Wembley ticket 😂

Anyone who has paid to watch on Rams TV will also get first dibs i have been reliably informed....

I’m ok with stations , platforms , papers ect having a bias as I believe it’s near impossible for that not to be the case , what swings it with me for gb news being more watchable is the fact that although the presenters and general vibe of the station is a little right leaning the left is given plenty of airtime to put the other side and I’ve found that to be the case so far with every issue covered from trans ,culture issues , brexit , net zero through to the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gazza , I don’t find that anywhere near as much anywhere else ,

now I’m not saying gb news is the holy grail but I do enjoy the debate from both sides but each to they’re own

I haven't watched GB News because it is just another billionaire controlled news outlet. If however they have had "left" leaning airtime to debate public ownership of water, transport, NHS, gas and electric then i'd happily tune in.

Its my belief that full and open debate on these issues are gone forever. Every populist rabble rouser, media outlet whether its TV or papers and all the major political parties are now fully committed to full privatisation, Freeports, deregulation and tax evasion.

I look around the media forlornly looking for a champion for people who have to lose their homes because they need care after working all their lives, striving to try and leave a little for their kids while billionaires and corporations get tax cuts every budget. Maybe the odd shout up about government saying they can't afford to reduce poverty while being able to afford to increase it to appease the rich would make an interesting discussion.

Why isn't just one national news station demanding the end of pumping sewage into our rivers and seas for instance, Not one, one or two tiny organisations try their best on social media to highlight it but its a very small audience.

We're well and truly fecked. Owned lock, stock and barrel by the vulture capitalist, hedge fund gamblers who control all the media and politicians.

  3. Whatever is going on in Ukraine, one thing to note is that young men and women who came over at the start of the war are in no rush to go back. There are over 30 men aged from 22-40 from Ukraine working in our factory. All now have found rented accommodation and settled in well but have no intention of going home unless the war is well and truly over. Many of them had decent jobs before the war and managed to get out quickly.

A couple are playing in local league football, some work every hour they can and send money back to family, some are trying to find out if they will be allowed to stay permanently, but none want to go back right now.

I get the impression they would not be to popular amongst those who stayed or had to stay.

Loved the lad when he was here but what an idiot. Sums up his life so far. A very able bodied footballer that has been frequently disabled by an attack of the brain farts. What a waste of a talent.

How many kids work their socks off for a chance to be a pro footballer and get binned. Someone like Rav moses on up, is naturally gifted, doesn't have to work too hard and makes it. Then can't be arsed to put the work in to have a decent career.

He did ok for us but i believe that was down to his respect for Rooney rather than wanting to be a successful player.

Interesting times... and well done to DCFC, and DC himself I assume, for making this giant leap.
I hope the young 'uns have half as much fun as I did, when I was able and allowed to stand for the whole game, without any concern for a high-viz tap on the shoulder!

Yes mate, Morris was a banker, he gave a few sauages out, to keep some on side. But he is our worse owner in history and lied to everyone, was never a Rams fan, at john port school, he wore a Liverpool scarf every winter. Once A Ram Always A Ram.

I only met him once and he told me stories of away games at Stoke in the 1970's where he had to run for his life through the canal that ran behind the Victoria Ground. I had seen that happen and had similar experiences there so had no reason to doubt him at the time. I have heard since that he wasn't a massive fan but went with his mates who were. Heard the Liverpool stuff as well but can't comment as apparently, i had a George Best poster when i was 7. Seth Meyers No GIF by Late Night with Seth Meyers

Change the Go West to Go Warne and I’m not wanting him to leave, it’s all about doing it together guys, and I’m not talking about Dirty Leeds here or The Farm, it’s the Pet Shop Boys.

Brilliant Inverurie, i'll try and get that going on the minibus next match. 🎵🐏👍🏿

Here are the details of Daniel’s funeral. The funeral cars will be passing Pride Park on the way to the crematorium (time tbc), anyone who wishes to give a clap as Dan goes past is welcome to do so. If you are planning on attending the funeral and would also like to come to the wake, please send me a private message by Tuesday 5th December.

Claire, i will not be able to attend due to work but i hope those who can will see Daniel safely past the Pride Park Stadium that he loved so much.

My friend of nearly 40 years, a season ticket holder in the South Stand, had his funeral cortege drive past the ground earlier this year and it was very sad. It broke many of us who are supposedly manly chaps because of how much it meant to him.

It will be the same for you and your mum and dad, knowing how much that bit of land that used to be Chaddesden sidings now known as Pride Park (my late Dad worked for British Rail on this site for 32 years so it has real meaning for me) meant to Daniel.

I will make a donation in Daniel's memory and hope the fantastic good wishes from the members of this forum will give great comfort to all your family and friends.

The death toll from 2008-2023 seems to be roughly 20 Palestinians killed for every 1 Israeli. We'll be reaching that ratio again in this recent outburst of violence in a couple of weeks if the bombing continues.  It seems a very odd thing to overlook when making an assessment of the crimes of both sides. There can be no doubt about which side has more blood on their hands.

It seems obvious tbh, I'm really not sure how anyone could make the case the other way.

I presume they have been installed so that over exuberant fans can stand on them while holding on to their mates shoulder when we score.

A definite improvement. Its very difficult to balance on the thin top edge of the plastic seats. They buckle and sway and you inevitably have to grab the person in front to stop you falling into the next row,

I'm sure he'll be thankful. If i fall off the rail, i'll miss him completely and land two rows down.

I wonder how it will work in the away end, where the majority (2.5k) of seats will have rails. Quite a few away fans who have come to Pride Park this season prefer to sit - hence the 'how s**t must you be song..!  The SS might have to come up with something different.

I'm assuming that away tickets will be sold as either standing upper tier or sitting lower tier. If you buy a standing ticket then at least you'll expect to have to stand before you go.

The big problem is that you are saying the actions of Israel are comparable to Hamas. They are not . Nowhere near. If you cannot see that then yes you must be biased beyond belief.

Would a Palestinian civilian see Israel's atrocities any different than an Israeli civilian sees Hamas' atrocities? Its a big statement to say the actions of Israel are not comparable to those of Hamas Pete. Just on scale alone many would think the opposite tbh.

    DERBY!

Every game us in the South Stand marvel at how slow the rest of you are. After our final DERBY, we kick back, relax and wait for the splendid noise from the North and East Stand. Sometimes i feel i have enough time to take up a hobby before you join in!

It makes the away fans jump as they think its finished!

I can’t quite get over that it was between Hughes and Bryson for the other CM spot at Wembley. Jeff was the definite starter!

    What a problem to have!

The way to test the goodness of fit of any statistic is to do analyse the distribution of the actual vs expected. That is, the distribution of the residual (A-E)

You'd expect that shape to be the classic bell shaped curve. But the value of the mean, or peak of the curve, should be close to 0 with a relatively narrow dispersion around the mean for it to be seen as statistically "good".

We shall discuss this in more depth in the Black Swan in Utch before next Tuesday's match over a couple of pints of Bass.
