  1. If i was a tad younger and not under petticoat government i'd be there......😬
  2. We were discussing the repeating of puns oar weren't you listening. Cox Punt. I love spoonerisms me. 🤣
  3. Bolton play Port Vale this Saturday. Its a must win for Vale or they're down. Hopefully the biggest club in Staffordshire will get the result they need to stay up. The chance of playing their noisy neighbours from across the dystopian wasteland next season will motivate them even more to stay up! It would be rather nice to wave to the Stokies as we pass them coming down from an Utcheter perspective as well. Bloody hell, could the stars align that much to see the gumps down, Leicester fck up and Derby slip effortlessly into the Championship?
  4. Take no notice of Boycie mate. he's probably had a schooner of port,
  5. If we get promoted on the last day v Carlisle we wont need an open top bus. The celebration will be all afternoon and evening in the pubs and streets of Derby. We're going to do it and its going to be a massive party. The Rams are going up. I'm looking forward to the hangover!
  6. Forgive me Father, for i have sinned. It is 20 years since my last confession..........you'll need a robust set of Rosary beads to acheive penance for that long mate! A bit more than 20 for me tbh but you never forget the ritual.
  7. Forget Pompey, they're up. Have the top 3 leagues ever been so close for the top prize, automatic promotion from L1 and the Championship and winning the Prem? L1 Derby 43 83 Bolton 42 81 Posh 41 77 Championship Leicester 42 88 Ipswich 42 88 Leeds 42 87 Prem Arsenal 31 71 Liverpool 31 71 City 31 70
  8. I hope you made it home first.
  9. Sportsnight with Coleman Most of my others have been done.....
  10. Just as well. Boycie was stretching his arms and cracking his fingers preparing to tell you to switch it off and on again.
  11. The British Empire would like to differ.
  12. Only if they agreed to sell it to the US using dollars as the currency. Otherwise "regime change" would have happened.
  13. I'm the same with most terrorist attacks nowadays. My first thought is always who benefits from this. Gun sales always go through the roof after shootings in the US. People buy to protect themselves or to stock up in case the government restricts sales (they never do but the fear drives huge profits). Either way, every shooting over there is good for business. Maybe its just getting old makes you cynical as you learn a bit how it all works.
  14. Being kicked at New street station and Stoke station was a right of passage back in the day.
  15. Fair play fella. I'm assuming your not old enough to have been here in 1975 when Derby were champions of England when we played Carlisle last game of the season having already clinched the League in midweek. Your part of our history and will be welcome in Derby.
  16. Chips, Beans and fish fingers yes. Salad cream? You dirty filthy swine.
  17. Good to see that David Clowes has budgeted to fund the club for at least five years and is happy to do that. Gives a bit of stability and plenty of time for him to decide what he wants to do in the future. It all depends where we are but if we are challenging for promotion to the PL (or more likely in it 😁) hopefully Mr Clowes will be able to bring in a partner or sell outright to someone he trusts. I believe he will do the right thing for the club.
  18. Whether Joe Wildsmith stays or not he will be remembered fondly. He's done his best for us, made some incredible saves and has been such an important part of our recovery. If we go up and we offer him a contract it will have to be summatt special to make him go. If Warne wants him he'll stay. There's no bigger club in the Championship so unless he gets offered silly money he'll want to see how far Derby can go.
  19. We need to win physical battles over the last few games. Connor is a good footballer and has done enough this season to be thanked for his contribution but i feel we need to fight like feck every minute of every game to get over the line and we probably need younger lads to do it. Liam Thompson i feel will be more important than Connor. Not because he's a better player but he will close players down and retain possession in their half.
  20. On the plate with a sausage barrier.
  21. O'Brien shows how the UK has been infiltrated and Silent Coup shows how the World is controlled by the same organisations. I haven't quite finished Silent Coup yet but the situation is far worse than you first think. Its depressing tbh, they have that much power its impossible to see a way to stop it. Democracy is a sham, the big parties here and in the US are completely controlled by the same people. The next stage is Freeports/SEZ's in the UK. Over 80 of these already planned or started. Vast areas of Britain will be privately owned and run outside of UK Law. Working rights, Human rights, environmental rules - all gone, funded by taxpayers for private gain of huge corporations.
  22. Clubs sign up to agree to EPL and EFL rules so threatening to sue should cause that club to be in breach of the regs. Its like being a member of the local darts league, you agree to be governed by the body responsible for running it. If you think the Black Swan cheated against the Red Lion you report it and hope the governing body deals with it according to their rules. Rick Parry bottled it when Steve Gibson threatened to sue the EFL if they didn't punish Derby. He could easily have told him to do one and let the EFL rules decide if we were guilty rather than threats of legal action decide the outcome. The fact that they changed the rules about amortisation of player value after they decided we did wrong tells us that we was harshly treated. Our valuation method supposedly gave us a 30m benefit and cost us 9 points. Forest benefit was 34.5m and cost them 4 points. They won't appeal because they know they've been let off.
  23. Yes. Silent Coup puts a bit more of the background as to who really controls our politicians and press than O'Brien does.
