Really worth a listen to both MPs. MB very passionate and sounds like she will stop at nothing now to take this on. She felt personally insulted by the EFL due to conversations they’d previously had behind the scenes.

I have no memory of this - but his sudden departure sounds odd. Do we think this has any role to play? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/2811028/birch-leaves-Derby

I believe he was removed by request of the board from anything to do with Derby.
True but he was still on the board for a good while after our first charge.

True - but haven’t they been trying to sign Lee Buchanan on the cheap? There’s a conflict of interest.
I think when the board of the EFL has its members sitting on it, most things can be brought back to a conflict of interest. Like the fact Stephen Pearce was on it for ages.

Anyone wondering which QC is advising the EFL, could it be Nicholas Randall QC, member of the EFL Board and privy to all the discussions regarding Derby County….and Chairman of Notts Forest?!
I don’t think it makes much business sense or common sense to have a hand in potentially getting rid of your local rival, when you aren’t doing well it’s the fixture that often sells out. It’s part of the passion of each set of supporters. Any forest fan saying they want Derby liquidated obviously doesn’t properly support forest.

The MPs report back on their meeting with the EFL was the biggest anti climax in history - it was basically this scene….

The one thing all the email replies from Parry have in common are a complete arrogance of tone.
Does he not know how to speak to people?
I would imagine he is having to be very very careful with what he says and is potentially being guided on wordings by comms / legal teams. Or likely he just knows himself how he has to put things. So probably part of the reason his replies are quite robotic.

I think she’s just referring to the fact that Friday was supposed to be name preferred bidder and move forward but instead the well documented things that happened are making our takeover more complicated than it really should be.

Alan Nixon now stating Mike Ashley is planning talks with EFL and Boro. Apparently Appleby and co want it to go to court of arbitration for sport - sounds like plausible stories. At least it’s a slightly positive one for a change. (Whether true or guesswork).

We could do with forming some sort of list on which of the local MPs our forum members have contacted and which ones we still need to.
Good idea actually - I’ll contact mine tomorrow which is MP for Burton and Uttoxeter ! I think others in here have mentioned contacting others.

I’ve had a few back from him it’s the same email that was put in here, they seem very real to me
Anything more to add to what others have said?
I can’t fathom that he’s actually replying to fans - seems so very odd indeed.

Great... Sounds like something to look forward to ?
I can’t find Phils original post you’re responding to - what was he referring to? (Ignore me if it’s been removed for a reason) but sounds intriguing.
