    Yes , similar for Swansea

I might be wrong but some of them are potentially people like myself who is yet to claim my reserved ticket for either matches - which I’ll do before Wednesday obvs, the noises online would incidcste that pride park won’t have 8k empty seats come Wednesday. It would make sense that they are still shown as tickets available I guess? Feel free to correct me!

  2. I think we have playing extremely well all considered and I’m quietly confident if we don’t have any more points taken off us we could stay up. We do ideally need bielik back and a couple of attacking players adding in jan if possible (and allowed) but this team is doing extremely well all be it, not quite clinical enough - baldock and Lawrence could and maybe should of done much better with their chances yesterday, at least working the goalkeeper (I know the last min Lawrence chance I’m referring to took a deflection but that was a really good chance IMO). Proud of whatever the team does this season whether we stay up or finish in the bottom three. They are showing a lot of fight. Just got to keep the concentration, as hard as it is when tiring, for 90mins.

My bad, only going from the comments on here and think I may have confused "significant interest" and the additional short term income people.

They said there’s two very credible interested parties already and emphasised one party has been in for the club previously. Said their job is to also wheedle out the ones who put their name forward with no credibility or funds to support. Ie you’re Alonsos. I think they said some of those already circuling have high net worth - they sounded very upbeat about getting a deal done.

Watching sky earlier rob dorsett said people are circling to buy the club and a group who were in before have come back in I wonder who that is.

Feel like not a lot has been mentioned around this - hasn’t made it through all the doom and gloom. Was anything else said?

Maybe the duo @ossieram mentioned earlier is those said people?

The administrators will initially try to put together an inventory of assets that they can potentially sell, as well as write to all known creditors advising them that the complany(ies) is in administration, and that all current sums payable are frozen until the administration ceases.

They will ask for a statement of affairs from management, this is a summary of the most recent management accounts and identify which, if any costs can be cut. There are likely to be redundancies as a result.

They will also ask suppliers to sign new contracts with the administrators and guarantee payment for all future purchases during the course of the admin procedure.

The most critical issue in the short term is that of finding funding. The wages have to be paid in September, and this will be challenging as it is a seven figure sum, with relatively few assets (property assets appear to be owned by Gellaw, which is not in administration) although there will be the residue of the season ticket money received pre appointment. In addition the administrators will estimate their fees, in the case of Wigan they were over £1.6m plus a one-third uplift upon completion of a successful sale, plus legal and other costs on a few hundred thousand.

In the case of Wigan, the most recent football administration, things were easier because the club had property assets (it had two training grounds, one of which was sold to Preston for £1.5m) as well as plenty of players to sell (this generated £10m) as the admin took place in the summer during the transfer window. Derby's administrators have a disadvantage in both of these issues.

Once Derby is sold the new owners will have to trade under a business plan agreed with the EFL, and a combination of the liquidators of the OldCo and the new owners need to pay all of the preferred creditors and a dividend of 25% of the unsecured creditors within two years or face a further 15 point penalty.

Again here Derby's position is more challenging than that of Wigan, where (a) the club owner wrote off the debts due to him (b) Wigan had property assets to sell to the new club owners and (c) I think that HMRC were still unsecured creditors in 2020, so were only entitled to 25% of a much lower figure than the estimated (figure given on the podcast by RamsTrust) £26m owing to the tax authorities. The football creditors figure may be higher than in the case of Wigan too, though whether there are still monies owing to Keogh and whether they are deemed to be football or unsecured creditors is uncertain.

Thanks for explaining - really appreciated. I’m still struggling to understand why at this point, Mel has decided to put the club (or at least imply the intention) in admin. As you say there’s no transfer window to even raise funds from player sales, from the very little squad we have. The picture just looks completely bleak.

  6. Could we retrospectively add a poll to this thread to gauge how many people who previously were staying away, not fussed etc about games this season are now going to come back to give whatever pennies they can to the club? Was thinking of doing it but felt this would be the best place.

Couple of my friends who didn’t want to give a penny to Morris have now changed their tune and realised Derby county needs them - one has just bought a season ticket.

Time for the fans who can afford to, or aren’t avoiding big crowds due to COVID to come back and seperate Derby county from the off field issues -

Derby County is on the pitch and in the stands. UTRs

We honestly are not obsessed with Derby and have said on many occasions (a) We hope to have no need to discuss the club again and (b) not keen with behaviour of owners results in punishment for fans via points deductions.

The reason why the club has appeared on the show is a combination of EFL Charges, Keough sacking claim, refusal to publish accounts, amortisation, failure to pay wages on time, FFP, collapsed sale deals and administration.

If none of those had arisen then the club would not have had a mention.

As for laughing at our own jokes, I laugh at Kevin’s because I think he’s very funny.

Don’t suppose you could do us a favour and as best you can explain the administration process? I was hoping Mel was going to at least address it yesterday during his interview but he did nothing to explain what happens next or to even reassure Derby fans there will still be a Derby county at the end of this. I know that’s not a straightforward question.

  8. Sheffield wednesday ended up with 6 points when they actually cheated, lying about the financial year they sold the stadium in. We on the other hand have used an accounting process that isn’t illegal, that the EFL has decided after approving our use of it that they no longer like.

Considering the disruption they’ve already caused to the club through embargo’s etc, the fact that if they had said 4 years ago we can’t use that method anymore - we would have had to act accordingly, sell players etc cut costs and the sheffield Wednesday context, Derby should not be accepting anything more than those 6 points for me, as a starting point.

I don't particularly mind Ramstrust sending this letter out. I wish they would have proof read it a bit more though.

"We ask you to front up with fans and answer the following questions that concern the continued viability of the cub"

Just makes it feel a little amateur, especially with it getting some coverage from national reporters (such as Henry Winter).

Tbf I am not alone in being majorly concerned about the care of the cub  - we demand to see the CUB.

I agree with you in a way mate.

But once that money goes into the club. It's up to Mel Morris what to do with it.

Haven't we just had a 15% sell on for Will Hughes too?

    Wonder where that has gone

Yeah that’s true, and I respect why some might not want to put their money into the club while Mel is still here, personally I worry for the future of the club so from my point of view that’s how I like to see my contribution. Whether that’s the reality as you say, that’s another thing.

All these supporters paying for match day tickets and now putting copious amounts of money into the club for season tickets.

And our owner doesn't have the common decency to submit the accounts on time or to pay other clubs what they are owed and to even offer communication to the fans.

Where are these minutes from the meeting? After they were submitted back to the club we haven't heard a single thing.

    It's an absolute shambles.

I've seen people respond to this charge be saying the EFL have it in for us.

Well they might do, they might not.

But if they give us a deadline to submit our accounts and we don't do it and then we decide we aren't going to pay a transfer fee installment that is due. Then the blame lies solely at one man's door.

Anyone sticking up for him is deluded.

No ticket office, no mascots, no roadrider, more charges, no communication.

I love this club. But right now I hate everything that it has become.

All agreed but at a certain point we have to detach those that fail the club, from the club itself. We all love Derby county, the people running it are letting a club with long history and hopefully a long future without them, down. I see my money going into the club as protecting Derby county rather than helping out Mel or Stephen, who have no interest in the best interests of Derby county anymore clearly.
