Simon Jordan putting the cat amongst the pigeons on TalkSport just now. Presumably with absolutely no evidence whatsoever, he is suggesting Mel is working behind the scenes to perhaps get the club back himself! ??

Just we need. More baseless speculation. Sigh.

He’s also defending his mate Gibson too, which is annoying.

He does think we’ll come out of admin soon though, so while I think he completely full of poo, I’ll cling onto this point all the same ?

The same Mel who spent almost two years trying to get rid of us. He doesn’t want that and the EFL won’t allow it. The more this goes on the more I’m convinced Mike Ashley will takeover.

I do think that those who hold ill feeling to your club for it are misguided, but whilst I may have only quoted one person, it isn't just one person is it?

Ok it’s not just one person - but it’s by no means the majority. It’s more a reflection of said people then them being Derby fans.

For those who were asking earlier where the animosity from Boro fans towards Derby fans comes from, it's stuff like this ?

That’s one person though and every fanbase has fans who will make comments like that. Bit sweeping don’t you think then to have an Ill feeling against a whole club because of it?

Gibson isn't on the board of the EFL. No, I don't think any collusion has gone on. Of course there is a connection, Gibson threatened to sue the EFL if they didn't enforce their own rules properly, they then enforced their own rules properly. No, I don't want a situation where league tables are player out in court, I also don't want a situation where one clubs cheating potentially costs another club money/a shot at promotion. I'd think go for it.

So the thing is Derby didn’t even get promoted. There’s a long list of teams that have broken FFP and gained promotion so can you explain why Steve Gibson hasn’t been going after them? Including villa in the main season in question. And I bet Bournemouth are in big trouble if they don’t go up this season. But bet you dont see Gibson going after them. It’s always been a vendetta against morris and now seemingly Derby county as an institution.

Sure i read somewhere that Q and the fans groups are meeting today (? whether the MP's?councillors too).

    OR did i dream it?

Yep Q was meeting with the charter group at I want to say 4pm. Might be wrong on the timing. I don’t have much confidence we will learn much new. One of the B&W together people sounded really positive after the last one and said ‘this time next week we will know more’ that was like 3 weeks ago and of course no change. So sceptical of this one too.

Convenient he has withdrawn his bid now the biggest obstacle could be removed & he is likely not going to be the PB as his bid is lower than the Binnies - what did he expect? The admins to take his lower off because of his name?

Its like me bidding 150k on a 200k house & when someone bids the asking price I pull out of the race even though I was never going to get the house

I’m sceptical he was ever officially in or has officially made a bid. Having said that i’’m also sceptical the sun article is true. If Ashley had bid and was withdrawing it, it would be on sky sports for sure.

Assume he already reviewed the legal side before the statement as he would look ridiculous if not possible

Mels statement is extremely thorough. He wouldn’t go to all this effort if he hadn’t already sort advice or anticipated the next steps. He may have made some questionable decisions as Derby owner but one thing you can’t accuse him of is not having a method behind his madness.

Please explain why Palace get respect? They underpaid massively for one of our players. Is it because they said 'nice words' afterwards to cover themselves?

In reality no club is going to pay the going value to a club in admin. We didn’t when Wigan were so we can hardly complain. And yes they made good comments, they still put in a decent offer considering the circumstances for a player who had played less than 10 games for us. So for me they do have much more respect than most.

Have tried to stay off here as much as possible today but in summary - everyone has written open letters to everyone else, Margaret Beckett is on the case and obviously wants to knock heads together, silence from Admins and Morris, my favourite player may be off in the summer or on a city break, Nixon seems to be sympathetic now and Gibson's case seems entirely driven by the stadium transaction that we were cleared on and he was told he had no claim over? Have I missed anything other than calling Gibson every name under the sun that the Mods would delete? I have never despised anyone more

You missed a host of funny posts by me. You’ll probably want to go back through and like them all.
