  1. Do you know what Red Ram, my head’s spinning with all the different stuff I’ve read regarding what we owe to who, I’m not sure what is inaccurate and what is factual. Similarly if what the Mail are saying is true, it’s a fine gesture and one I’ll bare in mind when I’m thinking more negatively about Morris.

I just can’t get past blanking the taxman though, I was self employed for 11 years and always put money away for him because you always knew he’d be loitering with intent and wasn’t interested in sad stories.

For some strange reason our fans were calling him a nonce for the majority of the match ??‍♂️.

There’s a minority of our “fans” dismay me. They think they’re big and clever but all they do is undo all the good the fans who behave in an acceptable manner. Sharp, mistakenly, is tarring all Derby fans with the same brush which is unfortunate and inaccurate but that’s down to the halfwits in our fan base. It’s a shame.

Not sure if you're talking to me, but all I can offer is people (I mean all people, you and I included) can make strange and seemingly illogical decisions, especially when under extreme pressure.

So I have no clue on the answer to your question because I have no clue what the decision to not pay the bill was based on.

If you can let me know what MM was thinking then I can have a guess.

But even then it would only be a guess.

I'm sure others on this board know for a fact though.

Extreme pressure or not, the taxman ain’t going away, you’d have to be completely gaga to think otherwise. Furthermore, he employed a CEO who would also be aware the taxman doesn’t go away. So kindly spare me the if you know what Morris was thinking guff it adds no strength to your feeble argument.

  4. If the people, Morris, Pearce possibly Rush, are all out of the picture, no longer anything to do with Derby County Football Club, how can Gibson sue the club/take legal action against it ?

Surely he should go after the people who he feels wronged his club not the club itself ? If he wants this club to no longer exist then quite simply he’s a vindictive Berk. (I’m sure you know what Berk is short for)

Well, seeing as we didn't publish our accounts....

Just remind me what Pearce was picking a salary up for ? Shouldn’t he have been bringing stuff to Morris’s attention ?

He should be the first out the door that %@&#. But poo rolls downhill doesn’t it ? It’ll be the low earners that go before him. ?

Erm...like the sentiment but do you mean the season we were Champions of England?

Imagine a Derby born fan being responsible for the club going into administration in the year the club should be celebrating it’s golden anniversary of being Champions of England for the first time.

I never thought I’d see the day. Hope Morris is proud of himself. ☹️

Bit of info on Andrew Hosking @Quantuma:

"Andrew is an avid follower of Liverpool FC, and enjoys the theatre, opera and the arts."

So he's a footy fan. Always loved Liverpool ?

Let's hope he has empathy with the club and the fans.

He also looks to be easily contactable if you want a chat:

quick take a screenshot of the league table! we might never be so high again!

It’s a bloody crying shame. I really don’t think Rooney deserves this on top of everything else he’s had to deal with.

Thankfully, it won’t be a shock to him, he was as aware as us it was coming and he was quite philosophical and composed about it.

I just think the bloke deserves a break.

    Wow, is that true?

    I had no idea!

Yeah, I bought his autobiography years ago and it was in there, Cloughie wanted him and he thought about it but he had his kids settled in schools and that and didn’t want to uproot the family.

  10. I don’t know why someone deciding not to listen is such a big deal to some people.

I won’t listen for the simple reasons I don’t believe he will paint an accurate picture of the state of the club and how it got there and if he couldn’t give Rooney the courtesy of a heads up about the administration I can’t give Morris the courtesy of listening to his woe is me guff. Neither will I comment on it after the event.

  11. So, to the poster wondering if Morris’s health was an issue that prevented him from informing Rooney the club were about to go into administration, this interview kind of blows that out of the water (thankfully)

Though not impressed with Morris, I do hope his health issues are behind him. Now, I won’t listen to the interview myself as I don’t believe it will be an honest account of what is going on. Subsequently I won’t comment on any posts that relate to the interview.

Yes, I think it is too easy to dismiss Rooney the 'media caricature'. I am a fan and hope he turns into as good a manager as his promise suggests. It's a long road but I hope we get chance to find out.

Well he certainly deserves a crack with some stability around him in my opinion.

Admittedly, he cheesed me off last season, the Cardiff/Coventry away games spring to mind but there were others, oh Rotherham away was a bad one too but I’m impressed he’s got us into double figures already this season and if you take into account the blunders you can’t legislate for this season that are in no way down to Rooney, we could have been bothering the top 6 at this early stage.

I think it’s a remarkable turn around when you add the deceit he has had to deal with since his appointment.

Hey, you could have been right all along Roy?

“I’d imagine there will be staff members who will lose their jobs, who have mortgages and bills to pay. To have that snatched away from them is heartbreaking.

“These fans deserve my full attention and I’ve got to make it a more attractive club for potential investors to come in. It’s important to get the right people to run this club properly.”

Even my wife, who has no interest in football, commented on Rooney’s concern for the staff who inevitably will become collateral damage in all this. I thought he spoke with humility and sincerity about the staff and I’m giving him bonus points for the beautifully crafted dig at the shyster’s running of the club.
