I’m pretty relaxed over it all, end of the day, he’s not a player we should be relying on to play week in week out going into next season. We was extremely lucky to get what we got out of him last season, you can’t expect that again out of his legs.
Of course I would love him to stay, play a role, however I wouldn’t be devastated if he chose to end his career at the club he supports and where it all started, that’s something which money can’t buy.
In the same position, I’d probably join Notts County if I was him.

The late Rob Hindmarch. The heyday of my season ticket spent watching Rob. So slow but he could read the game so well. Great servant to The Rams 🐏

If he reads the game well and has the right players with him then this isn't a problem. Remember Rob Hindmarch? Maybe you don't, lots of people are younger than me these days but I assure you he was a great defender without having any pace at all

The EFL has spent the past 48 hours in dialogue with the club in an attempt to find a positive outcome to the issue but as of 09:00 BST Friday morning the required funds have not been deposited."
In a statement, Wigan chairman Talal al Hammad said an "eight-figure sum" will land in the club's account "imminently", to ensure "financial stability" until the end of next season.

Congratulations to Newcastle but the way their fans go on, you'd think they're the only club to have had hard times.
Ashley wasn't even that bad as far as owners go. When they went down to the Champo they came back up with 100+ points, they signed a £40m player under him and he sold them onto billionaires. Try having an owner who separates the club's assets from the club, does questionable accounting, withdraws funding and tries to sell the club to crypto fraudsters or fake sheikhs!
And Mel was at least acting (in his mind) in Derby's best interests. Try having an owner who literally robs the club like at Bury, the chap at Luton who tried to destroy the club and got them a 30 point deduction and the guy at Wimbledon who moved the team to another town!

He’s been a monumental player for us. I think those who think he’s average at this level, or at championship level, should probably give their heads a bobble.

    Here's my take on it:
As an AI language model, I don't have access to real-time data or knowledge of specific player performances beyond my September 2021 knowledge cutoff. However, I can provide you with some general guidelines on potential types of signings that English League One clubs could consider for cost-effective options:
    1. Free Agents: Keep an eye on players who are out of contract and available on a free transfer. These players could offer good value, as they won't require a transfer fee. Many experienced professionals or talented youngsters may be seeking new opportunities.
    2. Loan Deals: Premier League and Championship clubs often loan out young players who need regular game time to develop. League One clubs can explore loan deals to acquire promising talents from higher divisions. These loans could benefit both the player's development and the League One club's squad strength.
    3. Released Players: At the end of each season, clubs often release players deemed surplus to requirements. Some of these players may have experience in higher divisions or possess untapped potential. Scouting released players could uncover hidden gems available at reduced wages.
    4. Lower League Gems: English football boasts a wealth of talent in lower divisions, such as the National League or lower leagues in Scotland and Ireland. These players may be looking for an opportunity to step up to League One and could offer value for money.
    5. Non-League Prospects: Keep an eye on non-league football, where several talented players emerge each season. Promising players from non-league clubs can be signed for nominal fees or even on a trial basis, providing an opportunity to uncover hidden talent.
Remember, the suitability of any signing depends on the specific needs and budgetary constraints of each club. Conducting thorough scouting, analyzing player statistics and performance data, and consulting with knowledgeable staff are crucial steps to identifying potential signings that align with a club's strategy and objectives.

Great news folks, the Rams Heritage Trust will be doing a two day display at Pride Park in the Harrison’s Hub, this will hopefully be a pre cursor to a museum so the more interest that we get the better.
It promises to be a huge display with a lot of rare and interesting items, not just shirts but there will of course be plenty of them.
it’s the Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th June.
come along and have a look and maybe learn a thing or two.

Pinched from last seasons Sunderland Echo.
“As things currently stand each Championship club, not in receipt of parachute payments, receives about £5-6million from the TV pot. The equivalent in League One is like £800,000 to £1million.”
“The deal at the minute means each Championship club will get around £6million from the TV pot, obviously you can top that up a little bit with the number of times teams are on TV because each individual match has a fee for the club which you can add on.”
The other area where Sunderland could make financial gains in the Championship is through comercial deals and increased matchday attendances.
Around a £8-10million difference would be a realistic benchmark for a club like Sunderland to get out of League One and into the Championship.”
Regardless of any alterations or not to the clubs business plan any opportunity to get out of this league must be taken asap! 👍
