  1. According to Kirchner the recruitment team was disbanded during the cutbacks. No loss whatsoever in my humble opinion as that has been our failure that put us in this mess.

That means that for the immediate future we will have to rely on WRs judgement and contacts.

Not ideal by any means but that’s the situation we are in and we’ll sink or swim depending on how well he does with recruitment.

Try finding one to admit to that ,never had less than 25000 ever and they will look you in the eye and say it, deluded ain't the word for them its almost like a mental illness 'if I  say it isn't true it isn't true' as a mate of mine says 'there's football fans and the there's Forest fans!' I live on the border so its nowt in the air or the water and the County fans in the city have always seemed a decent bunch Got em popping up round me like fleas on a mangy dog(a red one) but soon as the results turn they'll be back in the shadows I always remember one of them  telling me he didn't go anymore because 'no one comes to see me when I'm bad' says it all really

If they start, gently remind them that our average this season is over 22k.

The number of seasons their average attendance has fallen below 22k in the last 20 years = 7 (1 in every 3 seasons)

The number of seasons our average attendance has fallen below 22k in the last 20 years = 0

Then they say ‘are yeah, but no but yeah, we’ve got two clubs in are Citeh blah blah blah’, then blather on about ice hockey or some such nonsense.

A huge thank you to everyone who came to our display today. Your support was amazing and shows the interest in our clubs fabulous history. It was great seeing so many parents bringing their kids showing them memorabilia of when Derby were the best team in the land and taking on the giants of Europe. Everyone loved having a photo with our FA Cup. A fabulous day that made the hard work setting it up very worth while. A big thank you to Don Amott and all the staff at Mickleover Sports who made this event possible.

    Excellent collection mate, well done.

And a good game too, with the added bonus of seeing Jamie Ward playing.

My laptop has gone mad not sure why this has attached to another post.

however , I am sure we have not received our income from being on Sky, that must be circa £5m by now. Do we get this when we come out of admin?

AFAIAA they’ve been using it to pay off our football debts.

Sorry if I’m being a bit dim, but has something happened to make Brum fans believe they’re about to go into administration?

It’s a bit strange, yes they owe a lot of money to their owners, but then so do about 50% of championship clubs.

TBH, most clubs should be concerned when it gets to that stage, and we should have, but every one else just makes excuses for it. Maybe there’s some reason why they don’t trust their owners?

I still have my doubts about CK, he's too loud for my liking and comes across unprofessional with his comments on social media. It's just not the British way of doing things, you wouldn't see the Queen leaning out of the window at Buck House telling the tourists to keep the noise down would you ?

love him or loath him at least Mel has kept a dignified silence whilst simultaneously running the club to near extinction. Will we survive?. I still don't think we will.

    You’re a WUM

Maybe you should find another hobby.

In a short period of time Kirchner has told us Rooney will be here next season. He has also confirmed that circa 40 players are needed and that initial investment is needed.

And now we are hearing the EFL are happy with his proposals and we could be starting next season without a points deduction.

    Sounding good.

But but but…….he snubbed us for Preston and I feel all butt hurt and I want to be able to say I told you so if we’re not in the Champions league in three years and and and he’s American.

Kinda made this point a week or so ago, but in strict business terms derby has a very loyal fan base and can attract 20,000-30,000 to Pride Park (you’ll see the higher echelon of that with the Rooney factor). Any prospective owner should be looking to get every penny it can do out of that fanbase. Get more fans in early and staying later, family meal deals, better merch, decent local beer, early day ko’s on the screens, post match analysis after games.

The survival of Derby County isn’t about who has the most money, it’s who has the best business strategy to keep the club viable for many years to come. Ofcourse there’s more to it than this but it’s about using what’s available to you.

I like what Bristol do, live band stage and beer sales outside, we have the room to take it further, maybe a food court with something other than burger vans,  develop the bar at the back of the SS for instance with music or a screen, decent cover from the rain, seating and heaters, but most importantly, OUTSIDE TOILETS.

Didn't CK state somewhere that he'd recently bought an aeroplane for £22m cash ? So he must have some dosh. Come to think of it, he could have bought a football stadium with that money.....

But he couldn’t have flown to the masters in it.

    It’s very simple.
No other party offered enough to satisfy the EFL and keep us playing in the league next season.

It’s literally Kitchener or no club.
    There is no other option.

    *Kirchner, bloody auto correct ?

  11. I don’t think Kirchner said personally that they upped the price, but they had prices in for things he didn’t want (Preston fans believe that to be some land they’d bought to create an academy).
So when he tried to take those items off the overall price because he didn’t want them they refused.

So in effect they’re both right.

Do some research on the subject and you may realise why.

The Bury you refer to (Bury AFC), in L10, is a completely new club in every way (except a few fans). It's like me starting up Pride Park FC.

However, Bury FC, despite not playing a league game since 18/19, are set to be reinstated into National League North or Northern Premier League (6th or 7th tier) because they are the 'original' club. Theey would have played in L1 for the 19/20 season, then if we treat every season as a relegation (20/21 in L2, 21/22 in NL), NLN is therefore the correct League for them.

Using the same measure, L1 for us in 22/23, us starting again in L2 would be more than fair.

We wouldn’t be starting in L2, we’d be kicked out the league, starting in L2 was a very throw away-able comment from one of the rag journos.

This isn't about trying to duck debt to gain unfair advantage, it's about trying to survive.

That’s our perception of the situation, but not how the majority of clubs see it.

They don’t see it as ‘our owner who’s gone has broken the rules’, they see it as DCFC have cheated, and it’s the majority of the clubs that the EFL want to appease to keep their cushy little cartel in power.
