Bristol City (H) - Match Thread

Recommended Posts

Back to the league.

Back to home comforts?

Another tough game brings the Cider Army to the Real Ale capital, and with it exRams Jason Knight, Max Bird and Haydon Roberts.

Cashin is clear to return after clearing concussion protocol, Blackett-Taylor is also back to fitness, but Ben Osborn is likely to miss out.

Team prediction

Zetterstrom; Elder, Cashin, Nelson, Nyambe; Ozoh, Goudmijn, Chirewa; NML, Yates, Jackson

Luthra, Ward, Thompson, Bradley, Adams, Collins, Barkhuizen, Brown, Forsyth

COYR!

General comments: Believes we've been putting in performances so far. Targetting 2 points a game at home this season. Felt the team was strong enough to beat Barrow, so a defeat was dissapointing.
Availablity: Goudmijn and LThompson struggling with muscle injuries. Cashin to return. Osborn probably not going to be fit to start

Zetterstrom
Wilson   Nelson   Cashin   Elder
Ozoh
Goudmijn      Adams
Jackson   Yates   Mendez-Laing

Subs: Vickers, Nyambe, Bradley, Forsyth, LThompson, Chirewa, Barkhuizen, Collins, NewSigning

With Warne confirming all of Kenzo, Osborn and Tommo are struggling with knocks. I’d go with

Zetterström

Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder

Ozoh Adams

Jackson Chirewa NML

Yates

Bench: Vickers, Forsyth, Bradley, Ward, Kenzo, Tommo, CBT, Collins, Brown.

Hopefully we will have a few new lads there in attendance also.

That's the team I'd go with

Wilson at right back in a back 4?

He's a better defender than Bogle, yet he was fine in a back 4. He's better defensively than most people give him credit for. Besides, We need him to help with the attacking play, something Nyambe is poor at.

Starting 11: JWZ - Nyambe Nelson Cashin Elder - Ozoh Adams - Jackson Goudmijn NML - Yates

Bench: Vickers Bradley Forsyth Ward Thompson Chirewa CBT Barkhuizen Collins

I cant see any new signings being done in time to play Sat, if they do then they could make the bench over Barkhuizen and/or CBT

Isn’t Wilson injured and not expected to play a part until after the international break?

                        Jwz

nyambe   Nelson   Cashin. Elder

          Ozoh.        Adams

NML.         Yates        Jackson

                    Bradley

I would start Forsyth but warne won’t but Elder will be injured soon so he will be playing anyway - yes Bradley is at centre forward because we need a big one there and against Watford we actually created openings when he went up front - that actually looks more balanced in many ways 🤷‍♂️

I imagine this is a fixture they were hoping they'd never have to play again, as some of their fans seemed to be of the opinion that we should have been liquidated. Anyhow, f*** 'em, we're still here and we intend to stay here.

Otherwise, certainly a tough game again. Strong in attack but perhaps with a slightly shaky defence, especially as Rob Dickie is expected to miss the game. Certainly, we must get after them and test that theory whilst guarding the back door. We know what Birdy and Knighty can do but they won't be the only ones we need to stop playing.

Make it noisy, get PP rocking #BeMoreB4
