Nuwtfly
Here's my problem with it, and this has been the problem more or less all season: Win or lose, 9 times out of 10, it is just awful to watch. I think if we don't go up, he has to go. I'm not even convinced I'd like to see him manage us in the Championship, but he'll have earned the right to have a go at least, if we get there. We've had numerous very lucky wins and we have been in a false position for a long time. I think with a better manager and this squad we would be top of the league and also playing good football.!!! It's utter garbage tripe under Warne it's the worst I've seen in over 55 years following the Rams. He's lost the dressing room that's why bird is going , why would you leave Pride Park for Bristol? I tell you why because he sees no future under the bobble hat comedian. We loose Collins and replace him with a 5ft 8 midget when we wanted a bloody No 9 ,the balls goes up it comes straight back . His decision making is pathetic tales Corey off last when he's playing well and we had some control in midfield suddenly it all goes wrong. One shot on target 87mins need we say anymore. He can't motivate them full stop, he's a clown and don't get me on the 5000 Meerkat he wanted at Barnsley. Out now and we will win promotion stay and we don't. You choose !!! LeedsCityRam
5 minutes ago, Kernow said: I probably would too, but that won’t happen. If Clowes’ plan is to appoint a League One ‘promotion specialist’ purely to get out of the division, then get rid, he wouldn’t have been given a 4 year contract. I think that Warne will get sacked if we’re in a position similar to the one Sheffield Wednesday were in, but if we’re teetering on the edge of the relegation zone, he’ll still be here. In an ideal world for everyone, Warne gets us promoted and then someone like his hometown club of Norwich thinks “we want him” and poach him off us. If we do go up, he will probably still be here at the end of his current contract as long as we are a mid-to-bottom half Championship side. Guess that would be dependant on whether Clowes has changed his mind on Warne in the 17 months he's been here & whether he wanted to give him that length of contract in the first place - I suspect that was the price of Warne dropping a division. Clowes will be well aware of the red flags since Sep 2022 indicating Warne's poor in-game management, supporter unrest at the style of play (Stevenage & Shrewsbury stand out in that regard) & there is still the fundamental mismatch between Warne's ideal squad conditions (ready made experienced pros) & the sustainability Clowes is aiming for (youth graduates & players brought in to develop). It will be imperative not to go down if we do go up & hence I could see Clowes being as merciless with Warne post-promotion as he was with Rosenior post-purchase. To fully buy into a season with Warne at the level above means buying very specific players to suit his style & in the event of things going wrong, would severely limit the ability of an emergency replacement to keep us up (as they would be primarily honest, limited, hard working types). I'm not convinced Clowes would want to take that risk from the outset.

Obviously Sibley has done something wrong? Sibley hasn't necessarily done anything wrong. After Saturday Warne himself suggested a back 3 was restricting our attacking ability. So when choosing the back four for Charlton he moved Cashin to LB so as to still find a place for Bradley . Bradley seems to be Warne's flavour of the month and Warne still needs to show us all that Bradley was a good signing. Ram-Alf

They ratcheted up the physicality and brought on bigger and bigger players. If people get disillusioned watching our football they’d be suicidal watching Charlton play, Christ almighty. The most route one team I’ve seen in a long long time. I would like to see some stats on which keeper hoofed every free kick around the half way line into the opposition box . What happened to a quick free kick and keeping the ball moving ? As for the head-tennis , our players had plenty of opportunity to bring the ball down on their chests . Both teams were as bad as each other . I would be suprised if the ball was in-play for more than 35 mins. Barney1991
I’m not worrying tbh if we don’t go up when we have warne who is a brilliant tactician to change a game in play to alter a game. To top this off with a robust recruitment team who can scout players under 30 and don’t look for players who are crocked before they come in we should be all good. Funnily enough I’ve just seen a member of the rams recruitment team in Rotherham city general.

Joking aside I agree with a lot of posters from both sides of the argument. I hate the football if you can call it that and this league is below average at best and any decent team would have pulled away. With Portsmouth January recruitment I expect them too now. but on the other hand we are second and to sack him now we would look like we need to be admitted to a psych ward. Would be as stupid as sacking clement in 5th. Although if we do go up with him as manager we come straight back down. CBRammette
TomTom92
I’m of the thought that if Warne takes us up then he’s earned the right to manage us in the championship. But if we did go up and we had a manager who’s proven to play ‘good’ football lined up. Then I’d have no issues with us being sly and sacking Warne off. Either way the football is dire and the atmosphere around the club is agitated. Comparisons to Sunderland when they were down in league 1 I’d say. Turk Thrust
Not too bothered about who is manager so long as we play reasonably well and win, and get promoted. At the moment I can’t see us as anything but a League 1 team for the foreseeable.
