Yani P Posted August 16, 2022 Share Posted August 16, 2022 I reckon we will win this..they will get knackered as all they have done is chase for 45 minutes...should be nicely set up for a dominant 2nd half..and hopefully 2 or 3 goals...we have the fresh legs on the bench...just need to get at them more with quicker passing.. Mucker1884 Posted August 16, 2022 Share Posted August 16, 2022 (edited) Looking at the replay, Stearman is already facing the goal as the ball comes to him over his left shoulder, so he's effectively heading blind. If he keeps his eye on the ball, and put his neck to work on contact, it's a goal 9 times out of 10! The power was already in the ball. It only needed direction. In our last two games it is us which have struggled for fitness the more the game has gone on. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Shrewsbury come out and press higher and start winning second balls. But apart from that last 5 mins we weren’t threatening. Shrewsbury we’re more threatening until that point despite having less than 20% of the ball. Cotterill will be delighted at half time. Need to step it up, so much of the ball we need Sibley on. If we don’t get a win tonight then it’s our proper welcome to League 1.
