If he goes, I wish him well and hope he gets another decent season with games. It would be sad if he falls back into the old Ravel, that plays a handful of games and doesn't seem to settle. Chester40 Posted July 1, 2022 Share Posted July 1, 2022 Definitely a player that I won't make my mind up about until I see what we are left with/can bring in. On his day he can look quite classy and finally seems to have settled and matured. On the flip side he's getting on, doesn't score or create anywhere near as much as you would hope and defensively is a bit weak. So...if he stays and we can't attract many other players then he could be a starter in League 1. But I think we have probably seen the ceiling of what he can offer and is taking up the 'creative spot' in the team that 'someone else' could do a lot more with. Really will show our aspirations what we do with his position in the team. Bird, Knight, Thompson, Watson, Bielik etc we have had lots of hard working box to box midfielders - interesting to see who is going to provide that creative spark in midfield.
