See Liam Delaps going on loan to Stoke.  Do we get any of the 1.5-2 million loan fee they're likely getting seeing as it will be more than they signed him for.  Course we feckin don't.  Everything that's wrong in football.  Should be a 50% loan payment clause to the selling club for any player signed by a top flight club from an EFL side up to the playing  age of 23.

Nice to see the club that wrote off 40 million in covid losses and sold their debt and ground - 170 million- to another family member, making such signings as well.  Have the f****** given us back they cup they 'loaned' yet.

The Premier League is set to make an extra £Billion this year. Any chance of a few quid dribbling down to Div 1 ? Not on your Nelly. If we are going to get a 20 goal striker this season -somebody has got to scout him from non league . It’s been done before and I am sure there is one out there.

Wilks would make sense. Did very well for Hull in L1 but struggle for form in the Championship last season. Another who can play across the front three positions, mostly RW. Competition for NML, leaving Barkhuizen and Dobbin to battle it out on the left. Left footed too, so offers something different to our other wide players.

Harrison is a RB, so we probably don't think Oduroh is ready yet.

Ashby starting for west ham tonight

Yeah just seen that so must be good. Got Coufal and Johnson ahead at right back so a season on loan wouldn’t hurt!

Signed a couple of Center backs and got a few on way back from injury that’s why Johnson’s had to play as a makeshift CB

They are not reliable

No, but as this is the league one appropriate transfer suggestion thread rather than a reliable links thread I’d say this is the right place for the post and both are appropriate suggestions even if the Twitter account that claims to be ITK is in fact not.

Unless of course you meant Wilks and Ashby aren’t reliable in which case, boo, hiss, down with them!

The trouble is, even good non league players will command a transfer fee and we're led to believe that we can't pay transfer fees. We are restricted to free agents and loanees, hopefully either resurrecting someone's career or being the stepping stone for some youngster or maybe the final swansong for a player at the end of his career.

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/2-realistic-signings-derby-county-should-make-before-the-september-1st-deadline/

This article recommends two players on loan deals ...

A loan for Felipe Araruna of Reading at right back.

A loan for Zach Awe of Arsenal, Another area the Rams need signings in is centre-back because, although they do have solid options at the back right now like the experienced Curtis Davies and Richard Stearman, both are getting on in their careers. They won’t be available to play forever and considering that the two are in their thirties, they are liable to suffer more injuries too.

Maybe we could sign him on loan with a view to a permanent pretty much guaranteed for January with a 2mill fee or something to get round the fact we can't pay fees at the moment.

Other than that we wont be signing him.

He's 28 and has had a very ordinary career.  Averaged about 1 in 3 for Morecambe which is the highlight of his form mostly last season. He looked slow against Buxton in the FA CUP and the goal he scored was offside.  Also missed three sitters.  Probably 2 million wasted and a 30 year sat on the bench in a years time getting no games.

Oh come on, link us to a striker please.

What’s Andy Carrol up to?  Pay per play deal, he left wba because of a deal to another club.  That deal fell away because of a medical, no shock there.  He was available for every game for West Brom when he was there.

We need some aggro little s***, with a trick and some pace, of the Ward or Dickov variety to throw teams off their game plan away from home.  Get a couple booked, draw some cynical fouls, give them some verbal wind up, piss them off so they lose concentration.  Sibley could be that player if he can keep his own head and live in theirs. We're a bit too nice.

Yeah I agree, a big lump up front who’ll bully the central defenders and intimidate them.

can’t think of anyone?
