He looked bright in a game I watched him in a couple of months ago, so wouldn't be against it. It looked like his talent is in excess of this league, but other factors have obviously got in the way.

Not sure he's a Warne player, though.

100% this. Judge him on his form this season. He's got himself fit and playing well in a very poor team. To score anything like the numbers he's got this season is a wonder in one of the worst teams we've played.

He's 30 in March, so while not a spring chicken, is still younger than the others. Put him in a decent team that's creating plenty of chances and I think he'll do well.

Hearing Ipswich may be spending up to 4-5 million over the next couple of days.  There CEO is a bloke who left our friends in OTIB making voodoo dolls.

Hello, Portman road.

No surprise. Ipswich have an opportunity this season, especially as everyone else in and around the top 6 (bar Sheffield Wednesday) aren't in a position to spend money. Plymouth are already taking hits to their squad and don't have the funds to match them. We are banned from spending any money, at all. Bolton, Barnsley & Wycombe aren't spending anything.

If Ipswich or Sheffield Wedneday don't get promoted this season then they really need to be embarrassed with themselves as an organisation. It's really a free hit for them, given their already substantial squads and backers.

I think there’s always a danger of associating one good performance with a potential transfer to Derby County.

We’ve all seen players who have caught the eye over the years but consistency is key. Jack Marriott was hot property for a couple of months but no one wants him now. Cole Stockton was on everyone’s wish list last year but hasn’t set the world alight.

That’s why scouts watch multiple games.

Sometimes buying no one can be the best decision of all. Consistency in team selection and good morale go a long way.
