Just bear in mind, this is another Nicko on the eve of game story line. He should have been a script writer for Jackanory with half the guff he comes out with.

IF we were able to get him back on loan somehow then id say its a very clever move.

Bring in much needed money for a player set to leave on a free in the summer, who we cannot offer a new deal too plus being able to keep him for the remainder of the season.

The quality of his finish today and against Stoke were superb and if we were ever considering selling him we would be pretty stupid unless it was for an extreme amount of money - forest would be getting £12 million plus

For a player out of contract in the summer? Not a chance

When we can give contracts he will get one and he will want to play football not watch it at another club - he is getting a regular game with us and doing ok and played in front of 32,000 fans today supporting him.

I hope so, the daily mail does state he could come back on an 18 month loan too

Steve Nicko in DET

The club was under a transfer embargo at the time the player signed for the under-23s. I understand that runs for the season,

I thought that also, isn't it the same reason Festy is only on a 1 Yr contract that also runs out in the summer?

This is sad news if so, but also brilliant business. To sign someone for the U23s at the start of the season, then get a million for him and have him loaned back for the rest of the season, when we are at risk of gong bust as a club. This money might keep us going long enough to get a sale over the line.

Unfortunately this is where we are and we have to bring money in.
