Dean (hick) Saunders
1 hour ago, 48 hours said: How to get around the embargo (?) "Derby County have announced the signing of teenage prospect Malcolm Ebiowei from Rangers on a permanent deal. Following a medical, the attacking midfielder has signed for the Rams Academy just 17 months after joining the youth setup at the Scottish champions. The 18-year-old has signed a one-year deal with Derby, where he will presumably line out for the Under-18's squad for the 2021/22 campaign. Ebiowei has previously represented both England and the Netherlands at youth international level and was on the books at Arsenal before joining Rangers in 2020. Derby are unable to sign players to their senior team due to the transfer embargo placed on them by the EFL, but they can still add youth players to their ranks." Not so dark at the end of the tunnel ! Be funny if he makes first team squad and is decent.

If we don't get a resolution by January, we could end up with half of the team, including promising academy players, either leaving for pittance or on a free in the summer. RadioactiveWaste
It's been 48 hours since 48 hours ago. Why has this not been resolved with grovelling apologies from Steve Gibson, Rick Parry and the EFL? I demand to know. jono

Not so dark at the end of the tunnel ! Not really much use unless he's instantly ready for first team action. Otherwise he's just going to be helping us crawl out of league 1 in a couple of years. Doesnt really help with our immediate problems

Half Fan Half Biscuit
I'm sure you'll all be ecstatic to know that Barclays Bank no longer has a charge on the Club's assets per Companies House filing today. Comrade 86

Woodypecker
BBC football pages today (in a feature on Rooney's pressures) declares that the EFL wish to impose a 12-point deduction, with DCFC saying it is too harsh. We might lose but I want Mel to take Parry down with him. Atrocious League leadership pitting clubs against each other and drawing out the punishment for maximum damage to the club, even if penalties may be merited. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58543856 Edited September 14, 2021 by Woodypecker RadioactiveWaste, Van der MoodHoover, RoyMac5 and 4 others 2

Same question never get answered, What is the points deduction actually for? It seems to be either take a points deduction no questions asked OR we keep you in embargo with no foreseeable end. Truly appalling how the EFL are behaving. hintonsboots, r_wilcockson, Deej and 6 others 7

It's up to DCFC to call the bluff and say "right, here's our accounts, you say where they breech and charge us, or GTF" Without having the full facts however, we don't know if that's a good idea or not. I agree in a way, but the EFL will just use attrition. They will delay and delay and delay and yet another transfer window will pass. Unless we find legal recourse as a means of imposing a deadline for conclusion, then we seem to be at the mercy of the EFL's intransigence.
