So pretty much a sell to buy situation, but better than a sell to keep from going bust situation. Rooney has indicated he only wants the right kind of player here. Which is good. It's frightening the number of people that can't seem to grasp that with the takeover of any business, there has to be a "pause point" at which nothing further happens until the transaction completes. If (big if) Phil Jones was to come in, you would assume he was imagined as a CB, however it may be that he is repurposed as the CDM in Bielik's absence, dropping into the central pairing if necessary.
