Crikey this would be good wouldn't it....

Can't see it tho,if the likes of Charlie Austin don't rate us,I can't see a talent like Wilson coming back here without lampard at the helm anymore.

Where's the number 9 tho, that's the number one priority.

At Bristol City ?...in before locked.

The beauty of a player like Wilson is that he can be dangerous and effective from multiple areas of the pitch - on the wing, in midfield, and in attack.

He has so many qualities that we are crying out for - pace, trickery, dynamism and drive from midfield, technique, a goal threat from set pieces and long range.

Austin is in a totally different position he is a experienced pro sitting on a good contract at a decent club Wilson is trying to build a career and tempt somebody to offer him permanent move. His move to Bournemouth did not work the way he would have hoped a repeat of his previous spell here and once again he could be hot property. With the Liverpool old boys club here of Wisdom, Ibe and Duncan all of whom were at Anfield at the same time a area he knows, fans who generally like him plus the Rooney factor could well work for us.

Gotta say I wouldn't be too fussed if this didn't come off, although i'd welcome him with open arms if it did...

He'll probably get 10-15 goals again in this division but 60/70% of them will be dead ball scenarios. We have Rooney for that now so his specialism is diminished somewhat. Also, if Ibe and Jozwiak are as good as I expect them to be we're left with a bit of a conundrum as Liverpool infamously put clauses in their loan deals about players having to play a certain % of minutes- if Ibr and Jozwiak break into great form, we wouldn't want to be screwed over by having to field Wilson.

This bit is more contentious but apart from the free kicks, I'm not convinced Wilson offers enough from open play. There was that brilliant break away v Brentford (H) for his first goal for us but that's about all I can remember him creating on his own. Ibe and Jozwiak will be more productive in this respect I think.

We'll have to see, one of those where I'm fairly content either way

Brentford (H), West Brom (A), Sheff W (A), Swansea (H) x2, Boro (H), Reading (H), Brentford (A) x2, QPR (H).

10 Goals from open play coming from the wing and occasionally centre midfield is pretty impressive. He would also offer much more balance as a left footer, would open up more angles from set pieces than having just Rooney (see Birmingham (H) or Southampton (A), for instance).

This would be an amazing signing. And my research for the above was watching all his goals from his season here which has got me really ducking excited. I need to calm down.

The player doesn't pick which team to go to. If LFC decide Swansea or some other team is where they think Wilson would be better off, that's where he will go.

Ultimately it will be where they know he's likely to score the most goals to get his value up.

From Derby's point of view he's already scored a hatful for us and would pretty much walk into the team as the best 'flair player' we have. Probably a safe bet.

Forest... He'd join a long list of flair players fighting for 3/4 positions. Manager and current position doesn't scream goals and certainly last season they weren't high scorers.

Swansea play attractive football, got Brewsters stock up and did pretty well last year, a risk but more likely to go up with them than us I'd say.

The player cannot be forced into a loan move. He could quite feasibly say he’ll only go to “x” or nowhere.
