Exactly while in my opinion he got some decisions wong. He was consistent in his decisions and let a lot go. Probably to let the game flow. He didnt favour one team and got decisions wrong both ways, so it wasnt just us

Its when they get it wrong & its all one way (Atwell) its harder to take

Going in to the Christmas fixture pile up in fourth with a rookie manager and a squad that is still work in progress is fine by me. Still room to improve and we are in the mix with the gumps below us where they belong.

Bogle the right decision was made, looked all a bit accidental from where I was. Heat was taken out the situation and a yellow for being reckless.

Tomori’s an interesting one, my first thought was ‘Christ!’ as o hate those challenges. But, I think he’s got away with it as hes going away from the player and atleast looked kinda in control. Again from my angle he looked like he got the ball with one foot. Hence why I think he got away with it. It was a bit naughty though.

The Lawrence tackle was nasty, not saying a sending off but to go unpunished summed up the refs performance to me

Worth noting that's the best they got and best they had for years bar a couple of the defenders.

NO wonder the gumpen hoards felt happy, they got past 24 seconds at nil nil and sang that victory throughout.

Agree with the general sentiment. I'd have been gutted had a penalty been given against us for a similar challenge to the one on Lawrence tbh. Bryson's yellow was just a routine coming together and was a poor call. Bogle can have no complaints about his mind you but I think the yellow was correct.

He got the most important decision wrong. a foot into the chest in the penalty box is a penalty and at least a yellow card if not red! The rest is immatterial. He was compensating for an extremely poor decision! He is second rate.

Weird how we all see it isn’t it, that’s the beauty of it I guess. 

I thought he killed the game flow. Seemed like he was blowing up every minute for niggly 50/50 challenges. That Darikwa/Marriott coming together at the end just summed it up. Ref got him out of jail because he was all over the shop. The constant blowing and the two advantages he gave us that weren’t advantages were mind boggling. 

Not too fussed about the “big” talking points, all could have gone either way. He was just fussy and killed the game, perfect for a Karanka team away from home. 

Fair result, lack of quality from both sides. Mount and Bryson missing. We’ll be better at the weekend.

Im not sure if you saw it on TV but the tackle hardly touched him. It was the exaggerated way he jumped up and landed that injured himself.

Tomori's challenge you are about right you can normally tell if it is nasty one by the reaction of the players I did not see a reaction if any.

I think if the ref had seen a replay of the Bogle challenge he would have been off.....

Most of the tackles and yellow cards were exaggerated. A foot in the chest is a foul. It should have been a penalty and at least a booking.

Not an unexpected result against the draw specialist himself, but you’d be hoping to win your home games with our sketchy away form. Not a particulary great performance from either side, both seemed quite panicky at times. Needed to stop those hopeless long balls and actually work it through midfield, just saw us continually lose possession through malone and Tomori cause no one made a midfield option. Balance isn’t right there imo and we won’t succeed until it is, think Wilson is a slightly better option than Bryson but I think a proper suited player isn’t currently in our squad. 

When we actually did work it into an attack we did look threatening tbf, Wilson was good and Lawrence was composed in the main, Marriott also as usual played well- looks like our new long term front man imo. Centre mid is absolute priority in jan imo, can turn these meh performances into good ones. We go again Saturday, that then becomes a really important match to get three points.

It is a local Derby, can argue the rules are the rules but don't really want the ref to spoil it with 2 red cards and a peno where some are given, some aren't. Wasn't a malicious tackle/elbow in the game, sloppy and overzealous? Yes...but not malicious. I wasn't foaming at the mouth at the peno so not that stonewall and likewise seen Malone's and Tamori's go both ways. No real complaints. More disappointed with the fact we weren't quite on it apart, felt the ref did okay.
