Bris Vegas
Cyrus Christie is both the best and worse Derby right back I've seen this side of the millennium.

brady1993
Darren Wassell did a good job in difficult circumstances, would have taken us up if Thorne wasnt cropped by a thug from Ipswich and if he could interview half as well as Rowett he'd probably have been appointed last year. Simultaneously Rowett gets a lot of slack because he interviews well.

Picked us up after our poor run of form under Clement, kept us in the Play Off spots, reinstalled some belief, tonked Hull 4-0, beat Forest and gave us one of the most exciting games I've ever seen in the Play Off semi-final second leg. I genuinely feel that if it wasn't for two games (Rotherham away and Hull at home in the first leg) he would be remembered much more fondly, and even could have been appointed full time (not saying he should have). I agree with this. .by the end of the season,he had the team working really well and I'm sure we would have at least challenged top six last year at a minimum...we certainly wouldn't have shipped Martin out under wassell. A much under rated manager, destroyed by fan snobbery.

We were superb in the second leg of that playoff game, just tarred by the abject performance in the first leg.

I mainly meant sackings/relieving of duties. Looking back at our recent history isn't pretty at time (all those managers making a mismatch of a squad under different playing styles) but I haven't once thought "why has Mel made that decision?" I feel he's been justified every time, or at least I've understood the decision
