Almost single handedly kept us up final game of the season. Ill admit not the best finisher , but come on is he really that bad?

For me, he’s the perfect example of our historic wasted transfer fees. He didn’t do anything that a free transfer signing couldn’t have achieved. I was extremely happy he left ?

Not disagreeing with you on that, but all it does is push the problem 12 months down the line.

At some point we are going to have to start signing younger players on larger contracts again, and as far as I'm aware we still have the same recruitment team that signed those list of failed signings.

We are only making very low risk signings because the EFL won't let us do anything more ?

Exactly my point. The EFL sanctions are a blessing ?

Want to elaborate on this bit? In what way are we better in the transfer market? Have you been in a coma for the past 6 months? Have a quick look at our squad list and see how threadbare we are

That implies that Rooney would have wanted our expensive 'mistakes'. Seen nothing to suggest he'd sign ordinary players on big contracts. Just hints that he might like to sign/loan good players like Delap, etc.

Imagine if we weren't under embargo then we might really be able to look at signing Grosicki.

Interesting that you interpret it that way. The implied point was meant to be that the restrictive transfer approach is creating a more sustainable business model for the club. Which I personally fully support ?

  4. LOL…..sky pundits build up Waghorn pre-game as a “clinical finisher” and “a signing under the radar”……. he was caught offside, misplaced numerous passes and caused no goal threat. Was replaced after 70 mins with Coventry losing……after which Coventry were awesome and won 2-1 ???

    Derby 2-1 Huddersfield

Keogh with an OG to get things started.

Huddersfield to equalise just after HT due a sloppy mistake.

CKR with the winner, a screamer from nowhere when we have been struggling in the last 15 minutes.

Will be some achievement with Keogh playing for Blackpool now ??‍♂️

  6. I agree with Mel’s academy comments and although I appreciate I’m in the minority I would rather watch Cashin develop than Wisdom make his customary howlers, see Bird kick on rather than have another Butterfield at 4m and give Ebosele a go instead of Anya at a combined cost of approaching 10m (fees and wages).

  7. Fully understand the passion but just for context……..Forest are in exactly the same position. Their attempted signings are just PR exercises…..Doig from Hibernian, Buchanan from Derby, Laurent from Reading and now an apparent 9m bid for Man City U23 player Morgan. None of these players will be signed and they have only signed a reserve goalkeeper to date despite also losing lots of players over the summer.

Well, isn't best case scenario we resign Curtis Davies and maybe 45 year old Jagielka and possibly Morrison?

Excuse me if that doesn't keep me up all night!

But ironically the Rooney signing kept us all up at night with excitement…….. and he was crap followed by the CKR signing which didn’t keep us up at night and he made a massive impact.

    Lets keep an open mind…….

    I don't get it.

“Duncan be our own Michael Owen” was stated…….. My joke was referencing that Duncan has more chance of being a commentator as Owen now is rather than a prolific striker. Nothing worse than having to explain your joke ??‍♂️??

I hope he's still got a chance here and knuckles down. He should get regular u23's games this season of all seasons.

    Could be our Micheal Owen.

If you mean a BT Sports commentator, then I agree ?
