Why is their striker referred to as only “trialist” but our trialists are named and numbered??

I do love a good meltdown, but can't see why this should be one.
Good enough offer and off he goes, like any other player.
Last week I saw Uronen moving from Belgium to France for a million and he he is way better player than Buchanan... So if we could get couple millions, I'm certain he could be replaced for less money. Heck, we might get replacement for free á la Neil Taylor.
Good shout. I would be well up for selling Buchanan and getting Taylor in on a free who would effectively be a Byrne on the left side ?

I’m not aware of anything, @Reggie Greenwood.
Bobby Duncan is in a group including Jack Stretton (injured?), Louie Watson (injured?), Jordan Brown, Tyree Wilson, Connor Dixon, Dylan Williams and Olamide Ibrahim who haven’t featured in any pre-season game at first-team or U23 / U18 level yet.
I think I saw somewhere that Watson and Stretton had picked up knocks but I can’t find it now. It’s possible they could all have knocks but I’ve not seen anything mentioned about the others.
Yes, I also saw the Watson and Stretton piece but nothing on Duncan. My excitement after his bang average Spanish videos is now waning ?

You make some valid points but the fact we are having a complete pre-season with a solid unit of players (knowing Davies and Wisdom are staying to reduce the CB fear) means I honestly think we are stronger. I called a terrible season out last year after the awful pre-season and whilst I obviously didn’t expect the full circus sideshow as we experienced, we are now more realistically set for mid table than last.
p.s Joswiak will thrive with a crowd

Has Duncan been released? I haven’t seen any of mention of him in the U23 games or training for the last couple of weeks? Or have I just missed it?

So you think it was Derby's choice he left then? ?
Absolutely not but it’s our choice as to who we develop next season

So according to you, every player that leaves dcfc would not be welcome back?. Stretton is no where near good enough yet for the 1st team.
Delap would tear the arse out of this league NOW.
I don't know if you've noticed but we are in the poo, now is not the time for giving kids a run out in the first team to hopefully develop.
We need to get as far away of that relegation zone as poss.
Anyone with half a brain would take Delap over Stretton.
I hope I get to negotiate with you in business one day. Here, take our best youth player for free and then send him back for further free development at the expense of our squad….oh and we will of course pay a loan fee and his wages ???
-
Ridiculous. Let’s develop a player that left us instead of Stretton. No thanks

Terry Hennessy. And that was before the word physio existed
And before the rise of the modern athlete. 2 pints of larger and a packet of crisps……

Thought Morrison played well vs Utd today, good and positive on the ball and seemed to work hard off it. Constantly tried to make things happen and play forward.
If ( I know it’s a big if) he can continue playing like this, he will walk into our side. Definitely more creative than anyone else who we have available
Fully agree. You could see his pedigree and he played well. I absolutely can’t defend his career to date but I liked what I saw today

Part of me doesn’t want him back - I’ve never understood what he has really offered.
However you have to trust Rooney and if he wants him, then you need to support your manager.
Strange though that a number of players are prepared to train and trial without a contract but Shay hasn’t?
Absolutely. This doesn’t make sense to me? There’s something more to it surely?

Hasn't Forsyth had 3 ACL injuries?
I’m not sure he is a beacon of hope #average

People said the same after his first injury. He played around 10 games and I think we won 7 or 8 of them. He then got injured and we went on to win around 1 in 15... That's how good he is.
You just proved the point…..he played around 10 games after his first injury ?
-
Let’s be realistic, a £1.5M offer will see him gone. You wouldn’t accept it on Football Manager but unfortunately we don’t have the luxury to say no right now
-
I don’t want to ruin Xmas but 2 x ACL injuries = no longer the superstar we all prayed for at £10M ?

Huddlestone chose not to sign a short term extension until the end of the COVID hit season (like Chris Martin did) when we were still fighting for the playoffs. However you try to justify that doesn’t play out for me and I personally lost respect for him at that point.

Where is he?

Can we close this thread please. It’s ridiculous some people think Clarke was a realistic transfer target. Good luck to him but let’s move on.

It’s Hutchinson

Ryan Allsop is a very good keeper. He took Stockdales place in the Wycombe team after coming back from injury. Big strong keeper and would be a solid signing. I would be happy to have him instead of Marshall with the potential saving on wages if we let Marshall go.

I’m praying we don’t give Wisdom a contract. Would rather have Stearman
