This is my hope too mate. I think it's cos all weekend you're kind of expecting something yesterday and then nothing and again today quiet.

I just think if Quantuma stated that it would be Wednesday 1st and could not envisage this deadline not being met, we're now 2 days on from that and nothing.

To be honest I completely understand why people are nervous. This forum has a sort of been cheated on kinda vibe atm ? - struggling to trust again after all the failed takeovers. Plus of course there’s a lot of emotion, we all just want this deal done so we can finally move on and focus on that thing called ‘football’ again.

Q have been poor throughout with their deadlines. Whether it’s just over optimism on their part, kicking the can down the road or just an extremely poor comms strategy, we will all be delighted when we see the back of them.

I will too start to be a bit like what’s going on if it’s not completed by the end of tomorrow. I’m still expecting an announcement to be made later today. I wouldn’t expect it to come until CK is up and about - I do think the fact he didn’t send a single tweet yesterday related or unrelated means to me that they preparing the official announcement. I could be wrong but that’s what I reckon.

Understandable really considering how many false dawn's we've had and how important this takeover is.

He's gone very quiet and so have Quantuma. To not at least say something yesterday was poor.

The silence is what's worrying me. Something doesn't feel right.

Maybe just maybe they’ve got to a point where there’s no point in saying anything because the next comms needs to be that it is done? It’s a complex deal. Lots of parties involved even the money changing hands will take time. Until I see a EFL statement raising concerns or any of the parties for that matter I’m pretty sure they are just getting on with it.

I actually think the fact CK hasn’t said one thing today means for me it will be announced tomorrow. Usually they are getting their excuses lined up but maybe it’s finally pretty much there so they feel the need to just leave it and let the next piece of comms be the announcement.

I stand by this as the reason CK didn’t say a word yesterday.

Yet again the communication is absolutely disgusting.

Just been told by someone at pride park that the press room is being painted today, so I wouldn’t expect a press conference today but maybe soon.

What type of paint they using? Cause some of that fast drying stuff these days they could have the job done by 4 and CK could do his presser lying on the ceiling at 5 - not a drop on him.

It certainly wasn't big then, and in modern fees it's tiny, but in 2007 the record transfer fee paid by an English club was still only £30m. (£89m in 2018 / £100m in 2021)

Birmingham only spent £7.2m before the season (£13.5m including January) and ended up on 35 points.

Yeah I mean ultimately what we bought with that 11M is proof of the pudding of why we did so bad.

What Rooney did last season was really prove that you do not need a ton of money, or even to sign the most fancied players and you can get a tune out of them - so I guess that 11M isn’t really an excuse for only getting 11 points.

I guess there was a lot of reasons to motivate the players last season and galvanise them but shouldn’t there always be? Maybe that’s what really sets Wayne aside.

This is why I’m now semi confident this season that Rooney can bring in loans, frees etc and still build a good squad. His recruitment with his hands tied behind his back has been somewhat remarkable.

Anyway to keep on topic, boo forest boo.

Does it not concern you though that CK appears not to have the funds available to do this?  He's going ti struggle to fund us in the Championship if that's the case, unless he's going to bring a partner in later to help fund us...

Who says he doesn’t have the funds to do it? Have we not learned anything from Mel morris tenure? It’s time for Derby county to be smart and sustainable. Kirchner is obviously looking it as, why spend 20M now he can use for the squad and running of the club to get us out of league one in a shorter time frame? If he spends 20M on the stadium it’s likely that majorly eats into budget. If month to month lease payments make sense in running the club sustainably, then it’s the right option and bring the stadium back under the club as and when we are in a much healthier position to do so.

Take me for example - I’ve got my phone on a monthly payment - I have the money in my bank right now to pay it off but I choose not to. Cause I’m being prudent that if my boiler breaks for example, I need cash aside to fix something like that immediately (Obvs it’s a lot more than a phone but you see my point).

Kirchner is 34 years old and is clearly a clever man to have got himself into a position to buy a football club for 10s of millions.

We need to be realistic, no billionaire was going to come in and pay all those debts and for the stadium at 50M plus for a league one club. It was never going to happen.

I get why people on here like yourself are sceptical and worried - after some of the failed takeovers but this is clearly very different. There’s been no journalist stories to suggest anything is wrong, CK has been open so far and nothing he’s said has come out as untrue, there’s been no EFL statement to say anything negative towards this takeover since CK came back in.

Sorry @hotrod I see I’ve basically done the same post as you!!

Kind of torn on Flint (unless Davies leaves, in which case absolutely 100%).

If Davies is still around then is he replacing Cashin? Definitely an upgrade but would be a shame to drop down any youngsters who've performed in the championship. If we keep the bulk of this squad together, we should do well in league 1 whilst giving the youngsters game time

I imagine Curtis won’t play every game again. So you may find he and flint are in and out alongside cashin.

At the time CK exchanged contracts, I think there was a collective sigh of relief. We felt as though the nightmare was finally ending. Apart from a pun fest here and there, the most active topic was the one about the possible signings we would make.

Now, as we're nearing the end of May, and the associated deadlines, it's refocusing the mind.

This is it, ladies and gentlemen, Rams fans everywhere - it's now make or break time.

Is there a deal for the stadium? Will the club be saved?

    ?

    Yeah fo show

If it’s true I am happy and I’m glad it is someone who cares about the club as much as we all do. I wonder how much rent he will charge?
