When I was sat down at the front of the stand in October/November we had a decent run of results against lower teams, playing a 4-2-3-1.
I recall Fozzy and NML playing really well at that time, probably encouraged by my very loud vocal support for said players (I could almost reach out and touch them!) 😂
Now I'm back up in the lofty atmosphere of the West Stand Upper we need someone else to make that racket. It obviously worked! 😉
Or perhaps PW just needs to play a more positive formation? 😄
Incidentally, the game we won 4-0 against Northampton Conor Washington led the line, with Barks and NML either side and Bird in that advanced role. I see no reason why Gayle can't do what Washington did that day.

Read this.
In exchange for the cash, the EPL want to limit spending of EFL Clubs.

We have bought tickets on the side for a change. Anyone ever been there? I don't think it was open last time we were there.

I guess this kind of belongs here?
Could our Curtis be the young up and coming coach we might need in the future?

Has taken over from Curtis Davies as the player who puts himself on the line game after game, and has Derby County in his heart.

He’s retired so I don’t want to ask him
It's tricky, isn't it? Maybe pay him back monthly?
This is when we need B4 to come up with a solution. He'd probably tell you to do it instead of insuring your car!

Tom back in the Rangers team and scored their winner last night, as well as winning the free kick that led to their equaliser.
Making up for lost time.

I’m not sure what to do about a season ticket. I’ve been using B4’s since he passed away. I feel like going to every home match is a bit too much with working full-time. The ticket is expensive and I’ll struggle to afford it as my car insurance is due at the same time. Don’t think my dad is ready to give up B4’s seat yet 😢
It's a tough call, but I think your dad would want you to be there. Might he help you out with the cost?

But they wernt selling entertainment, they were selling a competitive football match between two teams of eleven human beings who with the best will in the world are not and never going to be at the top level of they’re chosen field of employment, maybe the club should knock football on the head and do 90 mins of the rammettes cheer leading and perhaps a short play or some jugglers at half time 🤷🏻♂️
Well, we did have a ball juggler at half time to entertain us.
Trapped the ball better than most of our players!

Most of them didn't know where they were playing last night either... 😉
This is my biggest bugbear about Warne's management. He can't resist the urge to tinker every game.
Pick a settled formation - and play it.
Pick a settled team and subject to injuries, play it. When you need to, substitute like for like.
And don't just take off your midfield and throw all your forwards on when you're chasing a win.
The players look lost at times. Sometimes they are playing two or three formations/positions in the same game. Their instinct and trust for linking play are completely nullified in that situation.

I've always thought Riverside should be shut after the final whistle anyway.
We go to grounds all around the country where roads are closed for a significant amount of time post-game, but the roads around Pride Park stay stubbornly open.

And I still don’t get , how we are losing £6,000,000 a season ?
We lost that amount last season - our first since coming out of administration.
What we don't know yet is whether that was due to some exceptional one-off payments, or whether this will be a pattern.
Detailed DCFC accounts for this first year due to be published sometime in March.

We had three midfielders who had all been sucked across to the right of our goal, leaving a big gap in front of the defence. At least one should have held his position. Given that he played to the left all game, I'd say that should have been Hourihane.

You could field these 10 as your outfielders from all of those to have featured for the U18s that season.

Was Buchanan a regular centre half?

1Wildsmith 5.5 Kicking was off but not at fault for the goals.
35Nelson 7 consistent and still did a good job after his mugging
5Bradley 7 good defensively and grabbed a goal
6Cashin 6 not his best ground or game
2Wilson 6 poor until we changed shape then he came alive; needs more end product
4Hourihane 5 so he floats in a good set piece, but his presence leaves big gaps in our defensive midfield
7Barkhuizen 5.5 not his usual supersub performance, got brushed off the ball too easily
32Adams 6 some great tackles but struggled to find his passing range
12Smith 6.5 contrary to some, I thought he made a difference. I'd start him instead of Hourihane.
20Elder 6 was playing well until he got crocked - again
24Nyambe 7 played really well, and seems to be learning his offensive role; needed his physical presence out there for the full 90
8Bird 🐦 6 quiet game, seemed unsure of where to pass to, misses NML in his usual position
17Sibley 7 thought he was bright until he was victim of a heavy tackle, was closing down and linking with Bird. We missed him when he went off
25Gayle 6.5 he needs time to build up an understanding with other players but he will get goals if we play to his strengths. Will we?
11Méndez-Laing 6 wasted centrally and he needs to get back to his best position
ATG - a mixed bag from the management team. Sometimes youthful energy is better than experience and Barnsley showed us that yesterday.

Here's the chance I was talking about. Can't tell from this clip whether he was offside but a moot point anyway as he missed!

I agree, but PW needs to bite the bullet and select the players and formation that are going to consistently bring in 3 points.
There is no time left for experimenting, we need to achieve 2 points plus, preferably 3, for the remaining portion of the season.
And what is that formation, iyo?
