YouRams reacted to TigerTedd in Simulation theory
All is not lost though. My theory goes one step further, encompassing the quantum nature of the universe, and reincarnation as the true afterlife.
so the universe is infinite. It’s a fair theory that it expands and collapses. All that energy and mass eventually collapses into a singularity, creating another big bang. Round and round this goes, without beginning or end.
this is a similar theory to parallel universes, but it’s more linear (and who knows, maybe it’s sinultaneouly parallel, it’s only our perception of time that makes us think of things in a linear format). On each iteration of the universe, anything is possible.
a finger print is unique. But in an infinite universe eventually the finger print will be recreated.
a brain wave is unique. And somewhere in that brain wave is the thing that makes you you. Your soul, for want of a better word. So in an infinite universe, your soul will be recreated infinite times, in every being that could exist, would exist, might exist, infinitely. So there will be an iteration where you are reunited with your loved ones, just as there would be an iteration of the universe where you are a slug.
so my theory of life and death, is that when you die, you’re brain is flooded with chemicals that make you feel bliss, for that split second before death, which, as far as your concerned, lasts forever. And the next thing that happens is your born as a completely different version of you, many billions of years and billions of iterations of the universe in the future. And that one day you’ll be born as exactly the same iteration of you.
so with that, I’ve managed to scientifically theorise the existence of heaven and reincarnation.
And what does this have to do with simulations. Imagine if all of that was a simulation. The matrix had been through about 6 iterations, linearly. Imagine if it had been through billions and billions of iterations. Imagine what could be learnt from that. What if this is all just a big experiment by some all powerful race, and from their perception universes are exploding and imploding in the blink of an eye, and that’s where we exist. Imagine how our world must seem to a bacteria. Imagine if we told that bacteria that there’s a whole universe beyond our world that we don’t understand. It’s all a bit mind blowing.

YouRams reacted to S8TY in Its like Clough all over again...... Bored Stiff Today!
For anyone who mocks us fans who think we should be beating teams like Cambridge
Absolutely 100 per cent we should we are in L1 but we shouldn’t act like a L1 club ….trying to melt in with the perennial L1 clubs will only mean we become entrenched in this crap league
act bigger, be bigger and make any team afraid to come to PP !! Let them know we are Derby County ….nothing self righteous about thinking we should be beating the Cambridge Uniteds and Lincoln’s etc ….for goodness sake anyone saying …well Cambridge are only a point behind Oxford are top blahdy blah ….give ya head a wobble …we are Derby County and should be aiming for top2 not floundering around the mid division …was much better against Cambridge but was still 2 points dropped and that is a fact ….act like a small L1 club and we’ll see crowds drop off and will see ourselves further away than ever to where we want to go …
We are a big club and have big crowds in the 3rd tier of English football and with that comes expectation …no excuse imo if we don’t make top 2 and before anyone says I’m acting entitled im not im just saying it how it is …we are not Cambridge United or Morecambe or Bristol bloody Rovers! So let’s not pretend we are !!

YouRams reacted to Ghost of Clough in So who would we have then?
I don't think we could afford any current Championship or League 1 manager.
Lee Carsley (England U21) would probably be holding out for the main England job at this point. Even if he isn't chosen for that job, I doubt he would drop down to L1 level. Luke Williams (Notts County) for the long term project. Someone I could see taking us all the way to the PL. Gary Bowyer (unemployed, previously at Dundee) to build solid foundations and rebuild the link between the first team and academy Paul Cook (Chesterfield). A difference in opinion led to him being sacked at Ipswich, but he's done well everywhere else. Aaron Danks (Middlesbrough assistant manager) has been assistant for Kompany at Anderlecht, Dean Smith at Villa and now Carrick at Boro. Has also been involved with the England setup, having assisted Paul Simpson as they won the U20 World Cup in 2020, and then the U21s in 20/21. The riskiest option I've listed, but has a good contact list and I think is worth taking a risk on. Another I could see growing with the club as taking us to the PL. -
YouRams reacted to Anag Ram in Post Cambridge Warne Out Poll
Crosses in the air aren’t going to provide goals. Collins and Waghorn need the ball to land on their heads without challenge to score and that’s pretty unlikely.
We look better when the wide men drag the ball back on the ground but we’ll need more intelligent running and positioning from our forwards.
NML is great at creating opportunities to pass but his delivery is poor. The failure to score when he had Barkhuisen alongside him was criminal.

To me Warneball is wings cross repeat. We're playing good stuff from defence to final third but the final pass or cross let's us down nearly every time. It's also poor tactics playing to defenders strengths putting it in the air constantly. I hope with Bird returning we play some more direct stuff through the middle and run at defenders more.

YouRams reacted to SK47 in I Feel As Fans, A Lot Of Us Have It Wrong.
After watching Paul Warnes Cambridge interview regarding the Josh Vicars situation, I can't help but feel we have it wrong about what we value in a manager.
I understand football is about results and success, but sometimes, seeing a managers humility and connection as a humanbeing with the players, especially at times of trauma, beats the lot for me.
I've been critical of Warne, as have a lot of us, but I would love nothing more than for Warne to get us promoted. I know his "let's be mates" mentality can be a bit cringe, and his 352 does your head in, but you can tell he really cares about those around him, and I would much rather be in the trenches with a man like Warne than someone coming here for a quick cheque.
I'm crossing everything that things go right on the pitch, but regardless of that, I just wanna commend him for the person he is.
Salute to you Mr Warne.

YouRams got a reaction from HorsforthRam in Who enjoys Warne's football poll?
Although I'm not enjoying the football at the moment I do think PW has been very unlucky. He was clearly told he had a bigger budget in the transfer window before something happened? Then he seemed very reliant on Ward and Bird who both went out injured, plus all the other injuries. Sonny Bradley on paper looked one of the best signings in the division and hasn't yet settled, the Embleton signing showed how far down the list of targets we were, he looked like he'd just been captured by the Taliban.
People are calling for this passing football yet we get in a decent position up the field and they can't complete a 2 yard pass to each other, who and what could actually change what we have right now?
-
YouRams got a reaction from InstaRam in Derby v Portsmouth Match Thread
Our players are horrendous at passing we cant complete 2 yard passes, unless the next manager is Harry Potter I cant see them changing anything.

Once we’ve got players back from injury I’d like to see something close to this:
Wildsmith
Ward Nelson Cashin Fozzy
Fornah Bird
NML Sibley Thompson
Waghorn
Other options in each position:
GK- Vickers
RB- Wilson (Smith could also drop back there)
CB- Bradley (Forsyth could move across too)
LB- Elder
CM- Hourihane, Smith, Robinson, Radcliffe
CAM- Embleton
Wingers- Barkhuizen, Richards
Strikers- John-Jules, Collins, Washington, Brown
- Feel there’d be so much more energy in this side, which would obviously help significantly with trying to press.
- Wanna see Robinson, Radcliffe, Richards and Brown in and around the first team, and given significant minutes in the Papa Johns Trophy. Brown, Robinson and Radcliffe were all regular features in preseason yet can’t get a minute on the pitch.
- Thompson to play his sort of inverted number 10 role where he comes inside when we’re on the ball like he was before his injury.
